Ch.27

Skylar's POV
Today I wasn't feeling good. I woke up at 3:30 and threw up. I hate it. Marcus stayed at the squad house with Lucas. This is the longest they have been separated. At first he didn't want to. "Last time I left you got hurt." He said with a frown. "It's okay. I gave Star a key so she wouldn't have to knock. Crisis averted." I walked over to him and rubbed his shoulder. "Marcus look at me." He pretended to ignore me. I grabbed his chin and turned his head toward me. I pecked his lips. "I will be fine." I said. He kept trying to frown but he he quickly started to smirk. "Promise?" "Scouts honor!" U said playing around. His grin disappeared. "I'm serious." "I know. So am I." He still wasn't having it. "What is it gonna take for you to go?" "A 200% guarantee that you will be safe." "Marcus accidents happen." "So I'm gonna be here so help you if the do." "Marcus I will be fine. Where am I gonna go?" "I don't know." "Exactly. So go enjoy time with your brother. You need to!" "Fine. But as soon as something happens I'm coming back!" "Fine." He kissed me an ran upstairs. "Don't forget to invite them to my parents house this weekend!" I yelled as he ran out the door. I sat there in silence for about 5 minutes. The house is really quiet when it's just me. Then I touched my stomach. 'Not for long.' I thought to myself. I then heard the door open. "Marcus?" "Nope!" I knew that voice. It was Jayden.

Jayden's POV
After running to Skylar that night, I have had nothing but guilt on my mind. I had to talk to her to clear things up. I could tell she still hadn't forgiving me. She has been know to hold a grudge. I called Maggie, I knew her from college. She gave me a copy of the key. I drove to her house. I have been driving past it everyday. I know that sounds weird but I didn't care. I walked up to her door. I stood there for a moment. 'Why am I doing this? She isn't gonna want to talk to you. What if she called the cops?" I thought. I didn't care. I opened the door. "Marcus?" "Nope!" When she saw it was me her face instantly frowned. "How in the hell did you get in here." She said calmly. Whenever she spoke like that I got scared. I didn't know why. "Maggie." "How do you know Maggie?" "College." "Well that's a surprise. Being that you were the top idiot in high school." She retaliated. Not gonna lie it hurt. "Why are you here?" "I wanted to talk to you." "After 5 years you of all people wanna talk?" "Yes." She scoffed. "And what makes you think I wanna listen?" She crossed her arms and started thumping her foot. I got even more scared. She gave me that look that your mom gives you when you come in the house after curfew. I gulped. "Look. It won't take long. I just wanna get somethings off my chest." "Like?" "Why I did what I did in high school." "Jayden I don't wanna know." "You know I can still tell when your lying." She rolled her eyes and smirked. I do miss that face. "Fine." "Thank you." She motioned me to sit so I did. She sat in the other chair. "So..." "so like every other high school senior, I wanted to fit in." "Not everyone wanted to fit in." "Well I did. The team was pressuring me. They gave me an ultimatum. You or popularity." "And you chose them?!" "No! I chose you. But some team members weren't happy with my decision." "Like who?" "Does it matter anymore?" "Jayden who?" "Maverick and Carter," "should've known," "how would you have known?" "Because every practice that I watched they would always give me dirty looks." "Why didn't you tell me." "Because it didn't bother me. But this doesn't matter. Continue." "Okay well Maverick when to go talk to Macy. He knew she had a crush on my but wasn't gonna do anything about because of... us." "Why would he talk to Macy?" "He made her a deal she couldn't refuse. To make me cheat and he would make her popular. At first she refused as he went on and in about it he finally convinced her." "Hmmm." "And then that dreadful day came. She attacked me and started kissing me. I tried to get her off but then she started to feel good. Really good." She started frowning. "Whoops. Probably should have stopped there." "Ya think?" I rubbed my neck. "Anyways when you went asking around for us, Carter told everyone to say specific things. Which lead you to the courtyard where you found us." "Yes I remember hat vividly.@ she said with a sigh. "But Macy was told that you weren't gonna find out. That's really why she agreed to do it." She didn't say anything after that. We sat in silence when the door opened. I'm guessing it was Marcus. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE!" He yelled. "Marcus baby relax. He came over to talk to me. Nothing else. Se look at me. Do I look damaged?" He wouldn't take his eyes off me. "Jayden I think you better leave!" "But..." "JUST GO!" She yelled. I grabbed my stuff and ran out the door. For a moment I thought I was a dead man.

Marcus's POV
I forgot my phone charger. I ran back to get and saw a car I haven't seen before. I sprinted into the house and saw Jayden. I instantly got mad. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Sky ran over to try and calm me down. "Marcus baby relax. He came over to talk to me. Look at me. Do I look damaged?" I didn't look at her. My eyes were fixed on Jayden or rather his throat because I was gonna rip it out. Sky told him to leave but he hesitated. She yelled and he ran out the door. "Why Sky?!" I asked still very angry. "He walked into the door and I thought it was you and when I saw it was him I didn't know what to do." "Uhh you ever heard of kicking him to the curb?!" "He said he wanted to talks bout high school. I tried to act like I didn't want to know but I did. That's all I swear." I paused, then sighed. "It's not that I don't trust you. I don't trust him." "Neither do I. But it's okay now. Why did you come back anyway?" "I left my charger. I'm glad I did." I smirked a little. "Maybe you should stay. Just in case we have any other unwanted visitors." She said resting her head on my chest. I hugged her and placed my chin in her head. "I think your right."

A\N: Hola mi amigos/amigas. Hope you enjoy this chapter. I added a Jayden POV. The things that happened actually did happen to me in middle school. Just changed the names. Do you think his reason is valid. I sure as hell don't but anyway. Some of you commented baby names. You guys are really creative.
