Ch. 30

Skylar's POV
Today I went to the doctor for the first time since finding out I was pregnant. I mean I know I should've went earlier but I've been busy. Marcus was really excited. The appointment wasn't until 10 and he woke be up at 8:30. "Marcus it is too early!" I said in a groggy tone. "Oh c'mon! It's not that early." "I'm gonna kill you! Let me sleep." "Fine." He walked out and let me be. Finally. I rolled over. I dozed off for about thirty minutes but then I woke up again. It's hard for me to go back to sleep when I wake up. I walked downstairs and saw Marcus on the couch. Like any sane fiancé I decide to jump on to his back. "Yo! What the hell Skylar!" "That's what you get for waking me up! And since when do you call me by my full name?" "You caught me off guard." "Right." I jumped off and kissed his cheek. I grabbed a pint of mint chocolate ice cream. "That's mine!" Marcus said in a five year old tone. "Hey! I'm pregnant. I can eat all the ice cream I want!" "You don't even like mint chocolate!" "Your right. I truly despise it. But I've been craving minty things." "So eat gum or a peppermint." "I want ice cream." "Your lucky I love you." I flashed a huge grin. I devoured that pint of ice cream. I looked at the clock. It read 9:30. "This is when I was planning to wake up." I said glaring at Marcus. He smiled. I went upstairs and took a shower. It felt amazing! I walked into my closet and decide to get my mint green crop top and white high waisted shorts. I couldn't decide on whether to wear my Rosches or Hiraches. "I'd choose Rosches." Marcus yelled from the bathroom. I finally made a decision. "I said Rosches." "I know. So I did the opposite." He shook his head. I smiled. We left making good time. "Are you nervous?" He asked me. "Why would I be nervous? I'm about to find out the gender of our child. I couldn't be more excited!" I said bouncing in my seat. "Maybe keep the bouncing to a minimum. Don't want us to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance." I gave him an angry look. "Unlike you I passed my permit test first try." "Touché." I giggled. We finally made it. "Hello Sky! Last time I saw you, you still had on braces." "Hi Dr.Margo. I know it's been awhile. You stop coming over for Sunday dinners." "I'm sorry. I went over to Africa for awhile. Maybe I can come visit soon. What brings you by?" "Well I uh... I'm pregnant." She gasped. "That's amazing. And where might the lucky guy be?" I grabbed Marcus from the vending machine. "Dr.Margo this is Marcus. Marcus this is Dr.Margo." "Nice to meet you. Hope you've been treating my god daughter well." "I've been trying my best." I smiled. She lead us back to the ultrasound room. "You wanna know what gender it is now?" I nodded. She put that gel stuff on me. It was cold and it felt weird. Marcus kept staring. I threw a piece of paper at him. "Quit staring." I mouthed. He picked his hands up. "This is interesting. Seems like your child have a friend." "What do you mean?" "I mean. Your having twins." I was in complete and utter shock. I was so happy I could scream. "Yep your having twin..." (A\N: Not telling you yet! Stick around til the end of this chapter😈😈)

Marcus's POV
I don't know what Sky is thinking. She hasn't said a word since she found out. Is she disappointed? Is she angry? Then out of nowhere she starts screaming. "OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!" "Are you upset?" She looked at me with confusion. "Why in the universe would I be upset? I just got the best news since you proposed to me! I'm anything by upset!" I grinned. I'm glad she is happy. I know I am. "So when are we gonna tell everyone?" "Tonight. I invited everyone over for dinner. My mom should already be at our house. I asked her to come and help." She said our house. That's the first time she acknowledged something as "ours". I'm guessing she notice me. "What's wrong with you?" "You said our house. That's the first time I heard you say that." "Oh. Well it is. Your always there. You stole have of my closet space. Might as well call it ours. Right?" I nodded. I kissed her cheek. She blushed. I love that. We got back to the house and her mom was there. "Sky is that you?" "Yeah mom. Just got back." "And?" "I can't tell you! You have to wait like everyone else." "Fine. You suck you know that right?" "Love you too Ma!" We ran upstairs and watched tv. She was laying on my stomach. Her head was light. It was weird. The clock read 5:00. Damn, I didn't think we were out that long. I tapped Sky but she didn't respond. I tapped her again and nothing happened. I looked over at her face and she was sleep. I laughed. I slid from under her softly. She adjusted and fell back asleep. I went into the bathroom to take a shower. I like being clean. I got out and wrapped a towel around my waist. I went to the closet and got scared when I saw Sky in there. "Jeez girl! You can't just scare people like that!" "I wasn't trying to. I was picking out something to wear." She smiled. She grabbed something and walked into the bathroom. I changed into a red button up shirt and some ripped blue jeans. I heard the door bell ring. "I got it!" I yelled out. I ran downstairs to open the door. It was My brothers. "What's up bro?" Dari said. "Hey man. Nice of you to make it." "Wouldn't miss for the world." They all said in unison. And I thought is was creepy when me and Lucas did that. They came and instantly turned on the PlayStation 4. Sky came down in a maroon pencil skirt and a plain black sleeveless crop top. "Don't you look sexy." "I try." She walked in the kitchen with her mom. It was creepy how much they look alike. The door bell ring. Sky raced me to get it and won. "Ha!" "Whatever." She opened it and it was her dad and brothers. "Hi Daddy!" "Hello sweet heart. How have you been?" "Great." Everyone was finally here. Star and Michael were still in their honeymoon. But they already knew the news. Well everything except the twin thing. After we ate everyone was outside watching the sunset. "If everyone would come inside. I have an announcement." "Sky you always have something to say." Rashaad butted in. "I guess my life is just that interesting." She tapped my shoulder. "I think you should speak. I told them about the wedding." I nodded. "Marcus and I have some news that I think you will all like." "As you guys know me an Sky have been together for awhile. One morning she woke up and wasn't feeling well. We got some news and were so excited. So earlier today we went to the doctor and told her she's pregnant. With twin girls!" Everyone's eyes lit up. Her mom squealed. He dad laughed and it shook the entire house. My brothers were howling like idiots. Sometimes I can't believe I'm related to them. "I'm gonna be and uncle." Damien said in shock. Rashaad stormed out. Sky looked disappointed. "I got it." I told her. I ran after him. "Yo Rashaad you good man?" "No I'm not! You and my sister are getting married and now I find out your having kids! After the Jayden incident I was never okay with Sky meeting other guys and I know you won't hurt her but..." "I understand. You want to keep her safe." "Did she ever tell you I was with Lina when she died?" "No."

~flashback~
Rashaad's POV
"Rashaad I don't think we should be here. This place gives me the creeps." I looked at Luna. "Would you relax. Nothing is gonna happen. This place is completely abandoned. Plus I'm here to protect you." She looked at me with the really-look. "Why are we here anyway?" "Going to make a lit video!" "And I'm here why?" "I need someone to film. I would've asked Sky but she still messed up over the whole Jayden-Macy thing." "Don't say it like that! You would be too if you had fell in love only to have her break your heart with your best friend." "Whatever." I walked over to a broken wall. "Perfect." I mumbled to myself. I looked outside and I swear I saw two shadows running from the building. I thought it was just my imagination. I have these visions every once in awhile. I thought it was one of them. I heard a beeping. "Do you hear that?" I asked Luna. She looked around and saw something that spooked her. "Rashaad. Run!" She yelled. I listened. I started running. Then I realized that she wasn't following me. "Luna let's go!" "I can't. I think I can pause it long enough for you to get out. My commander taught me." Luna was in the military for awhile. "Luna I can't just leave you hear. What I'm gonna tell mom and dad? Skylar, Tristen, and Damien?" "You tell exactly what happened. They will understand that it wasn't your fault." I started to cry. "Rashaad you need to go. This wasn't your fault. Tell them I'm sorry. I love." I nodded and started running again. I made it out and I turned to face the building. I stared at the opening hoping that Luna would come running out. But the only thing I saw was the building go up in flames. I balled. The police came. The saw me laying on the ground. The female officer came over to me. "It's okay hun. I need you to come back with me to answer some questions." The only thing I could say was Luna. "Who is Luna?" The bomb squad finally came out the building. "We found a body. Female. Approximately 25 year of age." "I think it's some girl name Luna. That's all this boy is saying. I think he's in shock." Take him to ER. Make sure he wasn't exposed to anything. There are traces of poisonous gas. This was no accident." She nodded and lifted me. I was 14 at the time. The worst day in my life
~end of flashback~
Marcus's POV
"Sky never told me about that. That must have been hard." Rashaad looked at me with tears in his eyes. "When I told my family they kept telling me it wasn't my fault but in a sense it was. Luna told me the place was sketchy and I didn't listen. Now she's dead. That day I swore I would protect Sky no matter what. At first it was hard because she was still hurt. I even fought Jayden because he hurt her. She had to pull me off of him. I told her I didn't want her to see guys. That they were all gonna hurt her. I was thinking of myself. How I hurt Luna. But when she found you, for once her happiness was genuine. I knew you were right for her. I guess apart of me was still hanging on to the past." "I understand. I truly do. I would probably do the same thing if someone had hurt my brothers. I actually beat the crap out of a guy for bullying Lucas. Multiple times." He laughed. "Let's go back. Sky was really hurt when you left. Maybe you two should talk." He nodded. We walked back inside and Sky ran up to him. She gave him a big hug. She must of heard us from her balcony. "You don't have to say anything. I understand. Thank you for looking after me!" She said crying into his neck. "I love you Skylar." "I love you too." She kissed his cheek and he wiped her eyes. He rubbed her head and walked into the kitchen. "Thank you for talking to him." "You would've done the same for me." We walked back into a loud living room. "Have you thought about names?" "Yes." "And?" "Were gonna name them..."
