Karlie didn't have a good sleep. She was tossing and turning and waking up ever hour. Eventually she went out onto the living room couch, afraid that something was looking through her windows.
By the time it was morning she was probably running on 2 hours of sleep. She woke up to her father quietly walking down the staircase, in a suit with a briefcase in hand.
"Good morning," Karlie said, attempting to talk to him. He only nodded his head. What was the point if he was only going to shut her out? If she disappeared she was positive that her father wouldn't notice and would keep on living in the same house, with the same usual routine.
Karlie slid off the couch, back stiff from the hard leather cushions. She gradually made her way up to her bedroom where she locked herself in the privacy of her closet. Scanning the racks of clothes she found one with ease.
Karlie did her usually make up and brushed her hair before heading back down the stairs for food. By then her father was gone. Go figure.
She munched on a plain piece of toast, turning on her phone.
Jack: Brit Brat, I miss you severely. Everyone is missing their daily dose of Brit.
Karlie sighed, almost getting tired of the comments on how everyone missed her.
Karlie: They will have to find a new drug to go off of. I know, I know, nothing will be good as the fantastic Karlie.
Jack answered immediately.
Jack: That is true. I will have to get high off your friends.
Karlie: What's that supposed to mean?
Jack: Nothing bad. It just means I will have to put up with their annoying behaviour.
Karlie: ... have a good day! Luv ya bunches!
Jack: Right back at ya! ;-;
Karlie walked outside, jumping onto her scooter.
Karlie: Hey Teah, do you want a ride to school?
Teah: HECK YAH! That means I can get away from Carlos faster.
~•~
Karlie hopped off the automobile and went up to the door, knocking quickly. It opened instantly.
"Hey, Teah-" She was cut off when she saw Carlos smirking at her, shirtless. Karlie sighed, shoving him out of the way as she entered the house.
"That hurt, I was expecting a hello." Carlos said, rubbing the spot she shoved.
"Ugh, Carlos! Stop being such a hag. I told you not to answer the door." Teah snapped, rushing down the stairs.
