Karlie stood at the entrance of the school, her fingers tapping rapidly against her leg due to nervous energy. She was waiting for Jared's black jeep to pull into the parking lot so she could interrogate him on what business he had to attend. Many text had been sent to Jack late in the night despite his warning, but he only read them and didn't reply. That is literally one of the worst things a guy could do to a girl, even if they were an ex boyfriend.

Karlie had awoke at around three a.m in the morning after passing out in the forests. After her father had told her that why the gentleman, Jared, wasn't there he told her to go to sleep. Her father didn't even say goodnight, which disappointed Karlie even though he never usually did.

Harley had helped her up the stairs while Erin and Cara duelled with long loafs of bread. She didn't know where the two had randomly gotten the food but the outcome of their rowdy behaviour turned out hilarious. When Cara managed to jab Erin in the stomach with the bread she slipped on the stairs and started to tumble down, but not before she grabbed onto the laughing Erin's foot. The two fell down the stairs, screaming their heads off while her and Harley just continued to walk up the stairs, snickering behind their backs. It was when her father walked in, that was when it got better. He gave them a hard questioning glare, his eyes flicking from their faces to the unscathed loaves of bread. Karlie had never seen the two run away so fast and they even managed to continue hitting each other with the bread as they escaped the clutches of her not too impressed father. Then again, back in Britain he was used to all of their weird and wonky behaviour.

Karlie snapped out of her mind, even though that was another new memory that was bound to stay with her forever.

"Karlie, what happened to you!? Carlos and I finished our...discussion and you were just gone. We looked for you and we couldn't find you and I thought that maybe Carlos was lying. I thought that maybe he took you and locked you up for his own personal use," Teah said, pulling Karlie into a hug.

"You better not have been doing something illegal without me!" Carlos smirked while sliding into view from behind Teah.

"First of all, Carlos, why would I do something illegal and second of all, Teah I have to tell you something," Karlie said, earning a curious glance from Carlos. "Preferably without Carlos."

She watched as he dramatically clutched his chest, his mouth forming into a pout.

"Karlie, you're breaking my heart! You know that I would find out even if you didn't tell me, I have my resources," he said.

"Oh come on, Carlos. Not everything in Karlie's life needs to be known by you," Teah scoffed, shoving Carlos away from them. "What is it?"

"Well, it turns out that they are selling two slices of pizza for one dollar in the canteen," Karlie said loud enough so that Carlos heard.

"You know, as much as I'd like to stay and chat it turns out that I have to...meet up with some friends," Carlos quickly said, running away in the direction of the canteen.

"I'm not retarded enough to fall for that, only because the food at this school is gross and reminds me of my cooking." Teah placed her hand thoughtfully on her chin as if looking back to something but she quickly returned her attention. "Spill."

"You know my boyfriend, he sort of...broke up with me yesterday. As for me disappearing, it was because I just needed some air." Karlie watched as Teah's eyes widened.

"Oh no, but that means that Carlos might make his move which means if you say yes he'll be all lovey dovey and that you will be all he talks about which isn't a bad thing cause you are absolutely amazing but, wait! If he does that means that we can basically be sisters...I SHIP IT!!!" Teah rushed all of her words at once which made it hard for Karlie to understand because it wasn't even a proper sentence.
