"Seriously, if I wanted to watch someone make out I would have just waltzed into some werewolf high school," Jeremiah grumbled as Karlie quickly pulled away from Carlos.

To say she was a bit worried about what Jared's reaction might be was an understatement. She could see the hurt and pain in his eyes for what she had done, but at the moment she could care less. No, it didn't feel right to use Carlos to get back at him, but it was the first thing that had popped into her mind.

"Werewolf school? Ha ha, you are very funny Jeremiah," Jessie said. Karlie could easily sense the nervous energy rising up in the female.

"Jeremiah's your name, I'm Cara. Do you want my card with all my personal information-"

"Will you cut it out, Cara. No one is interested in your acts to persuade people into sleeping with you," Harley huffed.

"Hey, I'm just trying to get to know people and for people to know me. I've got to leave my mark here in this country," Cara stated. Karlie noticed Jared flinch at Cara's words, but she couldn't figure out why.

"If you want to leave a mark in this country you won't make it by doing that, there is already too many of them," Jeremiah said. Karlie narrowed her eyes, confused at how kind and gentle his voice went when he said the words. Maybe he could be a respectful person. Then again, she shouldn't assume what kind of personality he has when she has only known him for less then one day.

"Anyways, we will be leaving to a more quiet area. Please do not disturb us in any way," Jessie proclaimed while stepping forward. "Lead the way, Karlie."

Karlie nodded her head and began to walk up the staircase, leaving her friends down at the bottom. She lead the other three to her room knowing that no one would hear them in there.

"So what is it you want to talk to me about?" Karlie asked, a hint of annoyance laced in her words. She wasn't too pleased with any of them at the moment, they were the in centre of where her problems began.

"I don't think you understand everything fully yet," Jeremiah replied as he walked over to a couch in the corner of the room, instantly flopping down on it.

"Jeremiah's right, you don't know everything that you need to know," Jessie said.

"I know enough and all of it gives me good reasons not to be standing here," Karlie snapped, giving them all a glare.

"You think you know enough," Jessie spoke again. "Contrary to what you believe, not everything is so black and white."

"Yeah, there are also fifty shades of grey," Jeremiah said, winking at Karlie which resulted in a low, warning growl from Jared.

Jessie rolled her eyes. "A while back we received a prophecy from the moon goddess. It was more like a warning. She told us this: A wolf will arise from the mundane world, believing it's power has right to control. Through the night it will prowl, searching for the things that make it growl. Attack it will with all its force, but only one can take down the this new wolf."

Karlie looked at her quizzically as the words sunk in and her mind started to connect the puzzle pieces.

"Wait, you think that I am going to attack you guys?" Karlie asked in disbelief.

"Not just us three, but our two packs combined," Jeremiah said. "I am the Alpha of the Water pack and Jared is the Alpha of the Sky pack. We came to an agreement that our packs would protect each with all cost because one can not survive on its own without some back up. Our packs also believe that humans and werewolves can still interact with each other without conflict, it just needs to be set up in the right way so that there is cooperation. We created the high school so that werewolves could adapt and learn how to properly fit into the human society without being detected."
