Karlie stared in horror at what was unfolding out in front of her, at the words that were being spoken. He had no right to defend her for absolutely nothing, he had no right to be so over protective over something that was ceasing to exist. The more Jared did these wild actions the more he displeased her, and she wanted to get him back for what he was putting her through.
Thoughts at how she could get him back for doing what he was swirled through her head as the crowd in the hallways decreased to only a few, who were observing everything in an orderly manner. Karlie didn't know why everyone left, most people would stay and watch when someone was about to get beat up. There was the same unknown voice in her head telling not to think what she was, not to think of all the bad she could do.
Karlie snapped out of her daze when she heard a small chuckle sound through the hallway which quickly grew louder. Her eyes flicked to Carlos as his trade mark smirk graced his face and his eyes began to glint with mischief. If only he knew what Jared was and what he was capable of. Jared could rip him to shreds in seconds and yet he had no clue.
"You wouldn't kill me, scare tactics don't work on me," Carlos said as his laugh echoed off the walls of the hallway. Karlie tried to pull away to help him, but Jeremiah's grip on her waist wouldn't loosen. She turned her to see that he wasn't even struggling and that he almost looked bored with what was happening. Anger surged through has she started use more force into trying to get away. She could feel his muscles tighten around her waist as a low growl started to form in her mouth.
"I can do whatever I want and you can not stop me. Humans are so...so weak and pitiful," Jared exclaimed.
Carlos smirked. "So if the human race is so weak then why are you trying to make it out to be that you are more superior?"
"Carlos...so oblivious so to what really lives in this world. It is a shame that you do not know," Jared snarled while pushing Carlos harder against the wall.
"As much as I love to see my brother get beat up you need to stop!" Teah yelled, fighting against Jessie's hold. Jessie looked more alert and focused than Jeremiah did. It was then that Karlie realized that all of three of their names started with the letter J. How random.
"Jared..." Karlie felt the bones in her wrists start to crack as the anger building up inside her started to boil over.
"Karlie, are you alright?" Carlos asked, noticing her furious state. Jared then turned around, seeing what was happening to her.
In less than a second everyone in the hallway was gone except for Jeremiah.
"Let me go!" She yelled, confused at what had happened.
"No, haven't you learned how to control this yet. Dammit, humans are so incapable."
"You forget that you are talking to me, someone who was...forced into this life. It's all so new for me, you do not understand!" Karlie snarled, ripping away from him. He stared in shock at how she escaped from him, as if something like that had never happened before.
"What the hell, how did you get out of my grasps? No one ever escapes an Alpha!"
"An Alpha!" Karlie backed away, knowing that Jared called himself an Alpha. Whatever that was. The word had been tossed around along with the word Luna. So confusing.
"Jared hasn't told you a lot, has he? Disappointing I must say, if you were so important to him I would've thought that he might have enlightened you on the situation you are in, pup," Jeremiah stated, lunging at Karlie. Karlie felt herself tumble to the ground, her back hitting the tile floor hard. "So weak, but I've underestimated you once and I will not repeat that mistake. I just have to wait for Jared to finish with his business."
