Nightmares

Brianna's POV

I ran as fast as I could up the front driveway, pulled out my keys, and unlocked the door.

"Luke?!?" I called out for them.

"Upstairs! Hurry!" I went upstairs, climbing three steps at a time. Finally, after what felt like minutes, I reached the top of the staircase. I heard yelling and banging. I followed the noises into.....Ashton's room....no no no no.

I threw the door open and I couldn't believe what I saw. Ashton....he was sprawled out across the bed. He was kicking and screaming things out.

"NO! DON'T TOUCH HER! BRIANNA! BRIANNA! NO, NO PLEASE STOP!" He was having a nightmare.

He tossed and turned on the mattress. He was tangled in his sheets and he was sweating. I was scared to look at him.

"We woke up once we heard him screaming. And we can't get him to stop no matter what we do. He keeps calling out for you." Michael explained. I kneeled next to the bed.

"Ashton. I'm right here. It's okay." I tried but he still wasn't waking up.

"BRIANNA! STOP NO NO NO NO PLEASE GET AWAY FROM HER!" He cried out. I wanted to make it stop.

I didn't want to see him like that. It was horrible. He looked like he was in so much pain. He was hysterically crying and whining. I got into the bed with him and cuddled into his chest. His breathing steadied and I could feel his heart beat go down. His arms instinctly wrapped around my waist and he hugged me tight, but I didn't mind.

"Brianna?" He breathed out.

"I'm right here, Ashton. I need you to calm down. I'm not going anywhere." The boys exited the room, to leave us alone.

"Y- You You were be-being taken from me. I couldn't stop....them. Th-they were hurting.... you- " He stuttered.

"Shhhhh. It's alright baby; I'm safe. It's all over. I'm here with you." I carressed his cheek.

I've never seen him in such a vulnerable state. I was scared to leave the bed, in fear he would have the nightmare again.

Ashton's POV

I was in bed, then suddenly, I felt her presence was gone. Then I heard a loud shriek; it was Brianna.

I got up and saw figures dragging her away from me. I ran after them as fast as I could.

I couldn't catch up to them; they were too fast. Everything was a blur and I ended up in another bedroom.

They threw her onto the bed and tied her up onto the head board to hold her down. They ripped off her clothes and she struggled to get away.

They began touching her and I couldn't watch, but I couldn't move. I was frozen. I tried to go help her, but I was forced to watch them torture her.

She was crying out for my name, and it killed me that I couldn't do anything.....

I was screaming at them to stop and I was in tears. I wanted it to end. Then, I heard her voice telling me that she was here and that it was alright, but that was a lie! She would be gone, and I won't be there for her. I won't be there to hold her and care for her. But, then I felt her against my chest, and the thoughts vanished. It was only a nightmare. I wrapped my arms around her and held her tight to make sure she was real.

"Brianna?" I said as light enveloped my vision. I woke up sweating and breathing heavily.

"I'm right here Ashton. I need you to calm down. I'm not going anywhere." She reassured me. It was so good to hear her voice again.

I tried explaining to her my visions, but I couldn't pronounce words. I was so tired and out of breath. It felt so real...

She placed her soft hand against my tear stained cheeks and fell asleep, grateful that she was in my arms.
