Chapter 72: 2016 Championship Weekend

Kennedy's POV

Phoenix

It's been a few weeks now. Chase is no longer in the running for the Chase title. We've been trying to plan the wedding and also think of ways to decorate our little baby's nursery.

Im 21 weeks this weekend and I'm definitely getting bigger than I was. It's crazy how just a few weeks change your body by a lot.

Today we are back at Phoenix and it feels good to be back here. Seeing those blue walls puts a smile on my face. Chase is racing the Sun Energy 1 car again this weekend. I love that paint scheme so much.

"Chase?" I ask walking into the bathroom where he was taking a shower.

"Yes?"

"Here's your clothes and I have food out there for you whenever you get done"

"Thanks K"

"You're welcome"

"Hey, come here" he said poking his wet head out from the curtain. I walk over to him and he puckers his lips and I smile. I peck his lips and he smiles.

"You're amazing"

"I try to be"

I change into a burgundy colored tank top, white shorts and burgundy colored flip flops. I go into the bathroom and start doing my makeup when Chase climbs out of the shower with a towel around his waist.

"Mmmm, hello good lookin" I smirk at him and he blushes. I wrap my arms around his bare waist and he wraps his arms around me.

"I always feel so safe in your arms"

"That's good, I would hope you feel safe" he chuckles.

"I wish we could stay like this forever but you have practice" I sigh and he smiles.

"Me too, Ken, me too"

We stand there for a few minutes just hugging.

"I love you, so much" Chase says.

"I love you too" I smile up at him and press my lips to his.

Chase gets changed into khaki pants and a SunEnergy1 shirt and his blue shoes.

"You need to wear khaki pants more often" I smirk at him "your butt looks great"

He blushes and shakes his head at me.

"Don't shake your head at me, I'm your girlfriend, I can do whatever I want"

*Sunday*

"Hey Blaney" I smile walking over to him on pit road with Chase behind me.

"Hey Babes!"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"What is it?"

"Can you take a picture of me and Chase with your car? I'm 21 weeks today" I tell him and it makes him smile.

"Of course"

I stand sideways so you could see my bump and Chase stands behind me and wraps his arms around my waist and rests his hands on my bump.

He takes a few and we look at them.

"Y'all are one good lookin' couple" Blaney smiles.

"Don't we know it" Chase chuckles.

"Good luck today Blaney, I love you" I say kissing his cheek and giving him a hug.
