Chapter 74: Boy or Girl?

Kennedy's POV

Today, Chase and I find out the gender of our Little Baby Elliott.

We went to our sonogram a few days ago which is when they showed the gender. We didn't see it but Sam and my sister Shannon did and they planned a gender reveal party for everyone and for us.

I put on a baby blue shirt that showed my bump perfectly and the sleeves went down to my elbows, white skinny jeans, and these cute white sandals. I curled my hair and let it flow down my back.

I walk out of the bathroom and Chase was wearing a pink polo shirt and jeans.

"Oh I see how it is" I say crossing my arms. Chase looks up at me and chuckles.

"You seriously think it's a boy?"

"Yes! You seriously think it's a girl?"

"I don't think Sweetheart, I know" he says standing up.

"Okay" I say in a manly voice as I walk downstairs.

"You wanna bet?" He asks as we go into the kitchen where Shannon was.

"How much?" I ask, turning around very interested.

"How about $50" he smirks.

"You've got a deal my friend" I smirk back and shake his huge hand.

"You're betting on the gender aren't you?" Shannon asks.

"Nooooo...."

"I'm sorry Hun but I'm with Chase on this one" she says.

"What?!"

"Yes!" Chase smiles hugging her.

"You're my sister"

"I know but I honestly think it's a girl, especially the way your bump is shaped, I have a very strong feeling"

"How dare you all betray me like that"

"Just saying what we think sweetheart" Chase smiles.

"Hey, hey, hey!" I hear my brother say. He walks into the kitchen with Tanner on his side.

"Hey!" I smile going over to him and giving him a hug. Kasey was wearing a blue shirt along with Tanner.

"At least my brother agrees with me!" I say sticking my tongue out at Chase and he rolls his eyes

"Hey Tan Man!" I say taking him from Kasey. I kiss his cheek and he smiles.

"Gosh you're such a happy baby!" I giggle and he smiles even bigger.

"I love you" I say kissing his cheek again "Let's go find Mommy" I smile and we walk outside.

Chase's POV

"So man, you think it's a girl huh?" Kasey asks me, setting his hand on my shoulder.

"Yup! Your sister and I just bet $50 bucks on it"

"Seriously?"

"Yup! And I'm gonna win"

"I don't know man, I think it's a boy"

After talking with Shannon and Kasey, I decide to go outside and I find Kennedy on a step stool putting lights up on the trees.

"Kennedy Karina Kahne, what do you think you're doing?" I ask and she looks at me.

"I'm putting lights up"

"Get down from there! You're going to end up hurting yourself!"

"I tried to tell her no, Chase. She got on the stool anyways. You've got yourself a stubborn one" Sammy sighs.

"Oh I know it" I sigh too.

"Ken, Babe, please get down" I ask nicely.

"I can do this, Chase. I'm not as clumsy as you think I am"

"Kennedy"

"Chase"

"If you love me as much as I think you do, you'd get down" I say placing my hand on her thigh.

"Don't use that card on me"

"Ken"

"Fine" she says and I hold onto her waist as she holds onto my shoulders as she climbs down.

"Thank you" I say pecking her lips.

"Yeah whatever"

"Yo, yo, yo! Where's my favorite couple at?" I hear Ryan say coming outside with Becca behind him.

"Blaney!" Kennedy says.

"Hey Babes! You feeling okay? Everything good?" He asks hugging her and then places his hand on her bump.

"Everything is perfect" she smiles.

"Sweet! Hey man!" He says hugging me.

"Hey!"

"Is she okay?"

"Yep! She's great! Which I just had to get her off of this stool because she was hanging lights up"

"You were hanging up lights? Ken, why do you have to do that?" Ryan asks her.

"I wanted lights up!"

"So?! You could hurt yourself!"

"That's what I told her" I tell him.

"Don't do stuff like that, just leave it up to Chase okay? I don't want you to get hurt"

"Can't promise anything" she says as her and Becca walk over to the tables with pictures and stuff on it.

*Later On*

Everyone was here, my parents, Kennedy's parents and siblings, and all of our family friends and even Chase's teammates, Jimmie and Lydia, Dale and Amy, and even Jeff and Ingrid!

"Guys! Holy crap! I didn't think you guys would come!" Kennedy says hugging them all.

"Of course we're going to come! We couldn't miss this!" Dale says.

We just got done eating and it was time to reveal the gender of our baby!

"Okay guys! So what we're going to do is there is a box with a target all the way down there. Chase is going to shoot it and it will explode either blue or pink powder and that will reveal the gender!"

Kasey hands me the gun and I look through the finder and find the target.

"Everyone ready?" I ask as I hear camera clicks.

"Yes!"

"3, 2, 1" Kennedy and I count together. I shoot the gun, hit the target, and the box explodes a pink powder.

"Oh my gosh!" Everyone screams.

I look back at Kennedy and smirk. She has a huge smile on her face. I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her waist.

"Someone owes me $50" I smile and she shakes her head.

"A baby girl" I whisper.

"Our baby girl" she giggles and presses her lips to mine.

"Congratulations guys!" Everyone says and they all give us a group hug.

I have the perfect family.
