Chapter 75: Chase's 21st Birthday

Kennedy's POV

I wake up to the light shining through our window. I look over to Chase and he was still asleep.

My best friend and love of my life turns the big 21 today!

I slowly get up and grab his Birthday things out of the secret compartment (that he doesn't know about) in our closet.

It was a few balloons, a pack of cards hooked together that had 52 reasons why I loved him and it also had pictures of us on them, a case of beer (he's 21 and can drink now), I also got him a few pair of pants, a few new shirts, and a new pair of shoes. You could say he's spoiled😉

I change into a pair of jeans, a grey t-shirt, and a blue cardigan.

I head downstairs and start making breakfast for him. I make chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs.

Once I get done, I head back upstairs to wake him up but he was already awake. He was looking at his presents.

I lean against the doorway with a smile. He was smiling while looking at his presents. He saw me out of the corner of his eye, he looked up at me and smiled even wider than what he already was.

"You are seriously the most amazing woman I've ever known" he says.

"I know" I smile. He gets up and walks over to me and hugs me tightly.

"Happy Birthday William Clyde"

"Thank you, Ken, and thank you for everything. You know you didn't have to get me stuff, your love is enough"

"Too bad. You spoil me, I spoil you"

"I love you, Kennedy"

"I love you too, Chase"

He pulls away a little with a smile and kisses me. His kisses never get old. They are so gentle and sweet and our lips just fit together like a puzzle piece.

He kisses my forehead and gets down on his knee. He lifts up my shirt and rests his forehead on my bump.

"And I love you Pumpkin" he says and kisses my belly.

I feel a weird feeling in my belly when he did that.

"Woah! What was that?" He asks.

"You felt it too?"

"Yeah"

"Talk to my belly and kiss it again" I tell him as I'm place my hand on the place where I felt it.

"Hey Pumpkin!" He says and kisses it again. It happened again!

"Holy crap! That's weird!" He says.

"Chase, she kicked! That's what that feeling is!" I say and I start to tear up.

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yes!"

"Oh my god! Does it hurt?"

"No, not at all. It feels quite cool actually" I giggle. He does it one more time and she kicks again.

"That feels really cool" he chuckles.

"Guess who made you breakfast?" I ask and he looks up at me with a smile.

"You're the best" he says pecking my lips and running downstairs. I smile and shake my head as I follow him.

After breakfast, we spent most of the day cuddling. Nothing but cuddling and watching movies. To him, this was his favorite way to spend his birthday which I'm going to have to agree with him.

During the evening, I thought I'd take him out to dinner at his favorite restaurant.

I change into a champagne colored sweater dress and brown angle booties. I double French-braided my hair and put a little makeup on.

I walk out and Chase had a nice button up shirt and jeans.

"Man, you look real handsome" I smile.

"Thanks Sweet thang. You look amazing" he smiles back. I run at him and attack him and he falls back on the bed. We both laugh at my stupidness.

We went out to dinner and had the best time together. Which we always do.

One of my favorite moments tonight was when we were ordering drinks, I got a water and he got a Mountain Dew.

"No beer?"

"Nope" he smiled.

"Why not?"

"I'm not going to drink around you or the baby. I want you two to be as safe as possible"

"Awe Chase! I've got to kiss you now" I giggle and lean across the table and pecked his lips.

"It's your 21st Birthday, Chase. You need to celebrate it right"

"I don't have to drink now. I can drink whenever I want to Ken. I don't want you guys to get hurt okay? I could never forgive myself if I hurt my beautiful girls"
