Chapter 8: Sweetest Day

Kennedy's POV

We were at Kansas Speedway this weekend! I already miss my little Tanner. I'm supposed to see him tomorrow which is awesome!

I was sleeping until I smelt roses. Roses? What in the world? I slowly open my eyes and see Chase laying beside me holding roses with a smile on his face.

"Happy Sweetest Day, Babe" he says.

"Awe, Chase. Thank you! You didn't have to do this!" I say sitting up and hugging him.

"Of course I did! I had to get something for my beautiful girlfriend! But trust me, I'm not done spoiling you yet" he winks.

"William Clyde Elliott..."

"Kennedy Karina Kahne..." He mocks "Now, get up and get dressed, Beautiful" he says kissing my head and walking out.

I giggle and take a picture of my roses and post it saying "My boyfriend is the bestest. I woke up to him laying beside me with that handsome smile on his face with a bouquet of roses in his hand. He's always the best❤️ @chaseelliott9"

I get dressed into a pair of jeans, a Kansas Motor Speedway shirt and one of Chase's black sweatshirts. I slip on my tennis shoes and leave my hair down. I decide to not put on contacts today so I wear my glasses.

I go to Chase's garage and he was in there talking to Ernie. I go up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. He holds onto my hands and rubs the top of my hands with his thumbs.

"Hey Baby" he says and pulls me to his side where I still have my arms wrapped around his waist.

"A day of spoiling, huh?" Ernie smiles.

"You know it" Chase says kissing my head "Well I'll see ya later Ernie!"

"See ya Chase!"

"Come with me" Chase says as he walks towards the track.

"Excuse me, Mr." I say stopping and crossing my arms.

"What?"

"I haven't got my kiss yet today"

"I'm sorry, Babe" he says grabbing the sides of my sweatshirt, more like his sweatshirt. He pulls me in and kisses me.

A few seconds later he pulls away slowly and smiles at me. He pecks my lips once more and grabs my hand once again.

"You happy now, you big cry baby?" He chuckles.

"I'm not a cry baby, I just didn't get my kiss yet today"

"Well now ya have"

Chase said that we were just gonna walk around the track just to talk.

"So are you gonna see Tanner tonight?"

"I don't know. Hopefully, I know I'm gonna see him tomorrow but tonight would be even better because I miss that cutie"

After walking around, I get a text from Kasey saying to come to our motorhome. Once I get there I walk in and see Sam and Kasey holding Tanner.

"Sammy!" I say hugging her.

"Hey Sissy!" She smiles hugging me back tightly.

"Tanner Lee!" I say gently taking him into my arms.

"Hey baby boy, I've missed you so much" I say kissing his head.

"He brought something for Aunt Ken for Sweetest Day" Sam says getting something out of her bag. It was a little box. I hand Tanner over Kasey for a quick second.
