(A/N) I'm still sick, but I'm better than I was. I have chosen Jack's turner, and basically.... I'm back? :D
Jack's POV
*Continuation from the previous chapter*
I pushed hard against the front door, and threw my school bag to the ground. What was I going to wear? I mean, I had no date or whatever, but that's OK, right? I could surprise Emma... - Who was I kidding? Emma wouldn't even want to take one look at me. If my thought's were right, then I guess I should listen, and stay home.
Tonight is only going to be trouble. I just couldn't resist though. I had to give it a try. Even if it mean's getting humiliated for the hundredth time in my life. And my mind can't stop me this time.
Jack, you're just going to get shut down, again. Then you're at step one, and you're at rock bottom.... again.
I stopped trying to compete with myself, and dragged my feet up the stairs, into my room. I swung my cupboard door's open and peered into my closet. What should I wear? The mirror inside my closet was painful. Looking at the reflection of myself wearing these hideous glasses... it made me freeze. I took them off and placed them on my dresser. Maybe I should've kept them on. The dark circles under my eyes were prominent. I guess I'd just have to stay in the darkness of the ball the entire time.
Who is going to come within a 3 metre radius of me anyways? It's a school 'ball', but really, the entire thing is just a party where people attempt to look classy or nice. It's not a formal thing.... but should I wear a tie? I put my skinny jean's on that were black, then picked out a blue buttoned up shit, that was long' sleeved and appropriate. I threw on a jacket and ditched the tie idea. I put on a black pair of skate shoes and just went for it.
I scrubbed my teeth and ran my finger's through my hair. I put a bit of wax in my hair, and left my glasses at home. I was NOT wearing them at the ball. That was for sure.
The ball started at 8:00, and I had hour's to spare. The time was 4:30.
Emma's POV
"Red or blue?" I called from my room.
I could hear Eric's feet scatter across the floorboard's, until he reached my doorway. He took a look a both dresses, and back at me, obviously trying to picture how they'd look.
"Red." he smiled finally.
I nodded in agreement, as he left to get ready himself. I had already had a shower, and I may as well get dressed now. I peeled off my clothes, and pulled the dress up my leg's. I reached back to zip it up, and looked into the mirror to see if I liked the look of it.
I did.
It was very plain, but I liked it. It was mid thigh length, and looked nice with my heel's that I'd picked out. They were a bluey- purple colour, and my purse also complimented the plainness of the dress. I decided that I was going to leave my hair down for the night. My hair was becoming a lighter colour since I last dyed it. I liked it though, and it didn't look that bad. My hair, was frizzy from after my shower, but not over frizzy, so I left it how it looked.
I ambled over to my dresser, and began applying my make-up. I was going for a nude, but volumized look tonight. Not over down with red lip-stick etc. I started with my foundation, and blended it in. Then my concealer, and eye shadow. My eye shadow that I was planning on wearing was a nude look. I began with the creamy colour, and then a lighter cream towards the inner core, and dark brown towards my outer core.
I dashed some bronzer and blush over my cheek's and applied some liquid eyeliner. I finished with mascara and I was basically finished with my look.
