As I made my way inside, I prepared myself for my mother's yelling. However, it never came. I looked around, confused about why my mother isn't yelling at me right now. Just as I was about to pull out my phone and call her, I heard a giggle coming from the lounge room.

Furrowing my brow, I walked slowly into our living room. My mother was sat on the couch, Sebastian next to her. The man was the first one to see me, and he eyed me for a couple of seconds before my mother turned to face me.

A smile was plastered on her face, but her eyes hardened once she saw me. "Where were you, sweetheart?"

Staring at my mum, I rolled my eyes and said, "With a friend." My mother looked like she was going to say something, but Sebastian grabbed her hand. My mum turned to her new man, giving me time to storm off to my room.

Once I was in my room, I closed the door and slid down it, letting out a huff and my butt hit the ground.

"Mia?" I heard a whisper. Rolling my eyes, I tried to block Connor's voice out of my head. "Mia, please answer me."

Getting up, I walked to my bed, my eyes closed as I focused on the block. Suddenly, I felt something touch my shoulder. I jerked up, not sure of what it could be. And, magnificently, Connor was stood there, bent down so that he could touch my shoulder.

"What-what are you doing in here?" I stuttered as I jumped up from my bed. Memories of the last time that Connor was in my room flooded into my mind, and I involuntarily took a step backwards.

Connor must have known what I was thinking about, because he instantly looked down and away, but not before I could see shame printed on his beautiful features. "Please don't be afraid of me," he muttered quietly, his voice pleading.

I looked at the begging man in front of me and felt some part of my heart break. Before I knew what I was doing, I was walking to the black haired fellow in front of me and I was enveloping him in a hug.

I smoothed his hair down as he placed his head on my shoulder. "I know I pretty much just met you," I started, taking a breath, "but even though I know what you are and what you could do to me, I feel completely safe with you. I could never be afraid of you." It was the truth.

Connor raised his head, looking into my eyes. "But after what I did to you-"

I placed a finger on this vampire's lips. "Hush. I know that that wasn't you. I know you wouldn't purposely hurt me." Somehow, amazingly enough, I completely believed that. I know that Connor wouldn't cause me harm deliberately. I could feel it.

The dark haired man looked at my face, licking his lips. I could also feel that he wanted to kiss me. I could also feel that I wanted to kiss him. Wanted to feel his soft lips press hard against mine.

"Kiss me?" I asked, the question slipping out of my mouth. But what was even worse was that it came out as a beg.

Connor looked completely taken aback, his face holding a lot of shock. But within a couple of seconds, Connor's face was even closer to me, and his luscious lips were on mine.

Surprisingly fast, I was laying on my back with Connor hovering over me. He raised himself up, looking down at me.

Once his eye caught mine, he smirked and bent down to start kissing my neck. I felt his lips tighten as he started to suck on the tender flesh.

I let out a little moan, embarrassing myself. I felt this man chuckle against my skin, turning my flesh hot and red. His hands made their way to the hem of my shirt, his fingers creeping under the fabric.

Just as Connor's hands moved up towards my chest, there was a knock on the door. I shoved Connor off of me quickly as I sat up and pulled my shirt down.

Silently, I pushed this good looking man into my cupboard to hide him from whoever it was at the door.

"Come in," I yelled, jumping onto my bed and grabbing my phone. The door opened, revealing the person I least expected: Sebastian. Looking at him, watching as he strolled in, I mumbled, "Can I help you?" Why on earth would he be here? In my room, nonetheless.

Sebastian closed my door, and immediately I went into alert. I felt Connor's emotions running through his body: possessiveness, jealousy, alertness, recognition.

"We need to talk about Connor," he repeated his words from this morning. I gave him a blank look, silently telling him to continue. "I need you to give me all of the information about him that you know."

Shaking my head, I questioned, "What even makes you sure that I know him? Huh? Just go away."

However, Sebastian refused to leave my room. I asked him to leave again, a little more politely, but the man still didn't budge.

"Are you deaf?" I asked, making sure I sounded rude.

Sebastian just rolled his eyes at my question. "Don't speak to me that way," he demanded of me. Copying him, I rolled my eyes. "Listen little girl. I am losing my patience fairly quickly. You tell me everything you know about Connor, or I swear to God I will be forced to get the information from you, and you will not like my way I do that."

I do not like the way he spoke to me. And judging by the burning rage coursing through me, Connor didn't much like it either.

"Look old man." Old? Old?! This man was not particularly old. His smooth, tan skin, bright green eyes, decently thick brown hair, makes me believe that he may be in his mid to late thirties.

Sebastian was watching me carefully. I could see that he was losing his patience; his expression conveyed it.

"I don't know anyone named 'Connor'. I can't give you information about someone I don't know."

Observing, I watched as Sebastian's hands tightened into fists. He is getting very, very mad quickly. For some reason, I felt the need to piss him off even more.

"I mean, maybe I have met him before. Short blonde boy?" I pinched my chin, exaggerating that I am 'thinking' about something. "Actually, no, that was Cooper. Whoops, my bad."

Sebastian's face was slightly turning red. "Watch yourself, kid. You do not want to piss me off."

I smiled slightly. "That's exactly what I want to do." I took a step towards him, leaning close. "Even if I did know Connor, I wouldn't tell you. I don't need to tell you anything."

This brown haired man growled, grabbing my shoulders, turning me around, and pinning me to the wall. "I know you know something," he spat in my face. "You're just protecting him. No human should be the soul mate of a vampire." I couldn't help but hear the venom in Sebastian's voice.

I was so utterly confused. "Soul mate?" I asked, questioning aloud.

Sebastian cocked his head. He stayed that way for a few seconds before his eyes lit up. "You do not know."

"Don't know what?" I questioned. I hated being left out in the dark.

A creepy, synical smile crept upon Sebastian's face. "You are the soul mate of Connor. You are who he longs to be with. The one that he must be with."

Just as Sebastian finished talking, I heard the cupboard door open. I looked over to the closet to see Connor staring at me. Sebastian's eyes followed mine, his smile deepening.

"Connor," he murmured.

Connor's eyes narrowed in response. "Sebastian," the vampire growled.
