I woke up, my eyes snapping open. Light from outside the window seeped in through cracks, making it shine straight into my eyes. "Dammit," I winced, looking away from the window.
"Who are you talking to?" I heard the famous voice coo in my head.
Sighing, I shook my head. "Sorry bud, but you're gonna have to get out. I don't need you in my head this early in the morning."
"Scared I'll see how you dream about me? Dream about my lips on your skin?"
I squeezed my eyes shut. He must have been in my head while I was thinking about our kiss. "Go away. I can't deal with you right now. Get out of my head. Please."
I heard a small chuckle. "Sorry to tell you, but I'm not in your head."
I sat up so fast I got head spins. But sure enough, Connor was standing at the foot of my bed. "What are you doing in here?" I questioned him, holding my blankets up to cover my chest.
"Really?" he asked, looking at where I held the blankets. "Do you not think I've seen them before?"
Confused, I was about to ask what he meant. Just as I opened my mouth, it finally hit me. "You freaking perv!" I screamed at him. "I don't need you in my head twenty-four-seven. Can you be somewhat of a gentleman and at least let me get dressed without you being inside me?" Connor started giggling like a little child, and I groaned when I realised what he was laughing at. "Seriously?" Rolling my eyes, I rephrased my sentence. "Can you let me get dressed without you being inside of my head?"
Connor smiled at me. It was an amazing smile and showed his white teeth, but something in his eyes told me that he wasn't exactly agreeing with me. "Maybe. If I feel like it."
"Connor," I whinged. "Don't be a shithead."
The man laughed again, walking to stand beside my closed door. I gave him a look of confusion, to which he pointed at the door and held up five fingers. As a second passed, he would put down a finger. When all of his fingers were down, my mum opened the door.
"Oh, you're up," she said surprised. "Breakfast is on the table. Come get it while it's warm."
When she left, I looked straight to Connor. "You knew she was coming," I said. Afterwards, I slapped my forehead. Way to state the obvious, Mia.
Another grin formed on Connor's face, and he moved over to stand beside my bed. "I did," he said very slowly. "Anyway. I should let you go so then you can go eat your breakfast. I'll see you soon." He leant down to kiss my forehead quickly, then took off to jump out the window.
I scurried from my bed and headed to my door, only to be stopped by the sound of a loud crash. Hurrying to my window, I looked out and saw Connor lying face down on the grass. "Dammit," I heard him mumble as he climbed to his feet. He looked back at me, a sheepish smile pasted to his face.
Brushing himself down, Connor took a couple of steps forward, getting ready to leave. He looked back one more time, and then tripped over his own feet. A laugh emitted from deep within me, and I had to look away so that I wouldn't get caught laughing. However, when I looked back, Connor was gone.
Shaking my head, I quickly opened my door and ran downstairs. "About time," my mother said. "Your plate is there." I looked to where she was pointing, and my stomach growled at the sight of the food.
In a split second, I was seated and already had a piece of bacon in my mouth. I scooped up the rest of the bacon and chomped it down, starting on one of my waffles. My breakfast was done, and I was now chugging the orange juice, the taste exploding when it hit my tongue.
"Thanks mum," I said, rushing upstairs to get dressed. Sadly, I had to wear my uniform today. And to top the day off, I also had am exam first up. "Bitch," I grumbled when I looked at my timetable. "Who makes an exam happen first thing in the morning?"
Just as I was pulling on my skirt, my phone started to ring. As soon as I answered it and put it to my ear, I heard screams. Not the type of screams that were from being scared or being in danger. The type of scream that my best friend did when she was extremely excited about something.
"Woah, Bear, calm down," I told her, pulling my mobile away from my ear. "What's up?"
Bear started breathing hard, her words coming out a little strangled. "We are not going to school today," she demanded.
"What?" I asked. "Yes we are. I'm getting ready for school now."
"Well take that uniform off. We are going to the new amusement park."
I let out a huff, feeling annoyed. Not only was I annoyed about being bossed around, but also about the fact that I knew I would not be able to take the day off of school to go to an amusement park. Unless....
"Look, Bear, meet me down the street. I won't be able to get mum to drop me off, because she won't let me go. But if you can take me, I can work on getting me out of school for the day."
Bear asked me what I had planned, but I couldn't tell her, because at that point my mum barged into my room. "Get off the phone," she demanded me harshly. I said my goodbyes and hung up, throwing my phone onto the bed while I looked at my mother's angry face.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"Who's Connor?" she asked me, her tone hard. "Who is he?"
I gave her a quizzical look, trying to figure out how she found out about Connor. "A guy I know," I spoke slowly. "Mum, what's wrong?"
My mother threw a box onto my bed, along with a card. "Why did he send that to you?"
Opening the box, I let out a gasp when I saw what was in it. Perfectly folded in the cardboard box laid a bra and panty set. Frilly black lacy underwear sat atop the lacy black bra, taunting me. "Mum..." I trailed off. I was lost for words. I then picked up the card. 'To my beautiful Mia, here's a little something to spruce up your sexiness. Best regards, Connor. Xx'
My mum grabbed the box and card, holding it close to her body. "I am going to put these somewhere you can never find them. Finish getting ready. When you're done, come downstairs and I'll be taking you to school."
"No, mum, it's okay. Bear is going to give me a lift."
Mum seemed to think about that, then she finally nodded. "I would like to see you get into her car though so I know it's actually Bear that you're getting a lift with."
I nodded. When my mother left, I called Bear back. "Change of plans," I said when she answered. "Please pick me up from my house."
