After alll the hard work of painting, building and cleaning the office is finally ready to open. I can't believe that my life has turned around so fast. It took a while but it was worth it. Now I have stuff that is meaningful to me like be able to help other people through the internship, and Andrew, And my new Mom. But now I'm getting adopted!!!!!

As I got up this morning I couldn't wait to go to work. I never thought I would say this but I'm glad that Shannon found this opportunity for me. I had to look profesional but still young. I had the perfect thing I ran into my closet and grabbed a black skirt, a loose white blouse and a pair of black heels. I curled my hair and put it up into a loose bun. And ran out the door.

As I got to the office the adult receptionist told me that we were to arrive by seven in the morning and leave at seven in the afternoon. She gave me a ring of keys and said " These are the keys to everything on your floor. They open things like closets and offices for the therapy program. And here is your key to the front door and your badge." As she gave me the keys and Badge I noticed that my picture was a picture from the orientation for the internship. It was decent I guess.

As I walked out of the elevator I saw no that there were no lights on and that I was the only one there. i guess I was early cause there was a note on my desk that said "Receptionists turn on all lights and unloock all doors in office. Make the coffee, and anwser all phone calls in and out of the office. Here is your desk phone and your headset. Have fun. then below it said " Receptionist are required to be in the office before seven and all therapists seven thirty."

I walked around and turned all of the lights on and unlocked all office doors. I checked all of the bathrooms to make sure they were fully stocked and ready for people. I made the coffe and set out some napkins. As I walked out of the staff kitchen I saw a person just sitting in the waiting room on the couch. I walked into the waiting room and it was a girl about ten years old. She looked up at me and said "Hello" I looked down at her and said "Hi how are you?" She looked scared and like she hadn't had something to eat in a while. She replied "Okay, what's your name? I'm chance." I said " My name is CeCe, So Chance where is your Mom and Dad she said they left me." I thought about what I should do so I said "Well you know what. My Mom left me to when I was younger. How long ago was your last meal" she said that she hadnt had something in a while. I told her to follow me.

By the time I got her something to eat the other people started to walk in. Andrew saw where I was and walked into the kitchen and said "Morning" and kissed me on the cheek. I turned my head to whisper in his ear when Chance said "Hello I'm Chance." He looked behind him and there in the chair was Chance. He said "Hi Chance I'm Andrew." She got up out of the chair and came to me and said Where is the bathroom" I pointed her down the hall and Andrew looked at me and said " Why was there a little girl in here?" "Her parents abandoned her and she needed something to eat." He looked at me and said "Your to caring sometimes" He kissed me on the forehead and walked out of the room. I decided I had to call Child Services.
