Changing Me

The Fight.....

After the doctor told Shannon that I might have cancer we had to discuss how we could work through it. I thought that she might not have wanted to still keep me after this. All she kept saying was we will find a way...

Derek walked into the dining room slowly. He could tell something was wrong. He looked at Shannon and then at me and asked "what's wrong?" Shannon looked at me and put her hand on mine slowly holding it. She said " CeCe passed out this morning so i called the hospital and when we got there the doctor did a check to see why and he called me into the hall and said that all of her levels are elevated and that there is a possibility that she has cancer."

He sat down slowly in the chair next to Shannon and said " How long until we can get the results?"  She said that we would get them later today and that they would find a way to get through this he said that they needed to talk about it.

I don't want to cause them the trouble of taking care of me im glad that I have the support but i don't want them to argue. 

I went to bed early.... I heard them arguing and was really mad. He said that he couldn't take it anymore and that he needed some time to think about everything. She started to cry and say what does that mean. Time? I wondered if he was leaving so i went to the kitchen and got some "Water". As i turn around from the fridge there Derek was. With a suitcase. He said that he was going away for a while and for me to be safe and take care of everyone for him. I said Okay and he walked down the steps and out the door.

I went back to my room and decided that i wasnt tired so i took a long hot bath and read a book by my window. I glanced out and saw Derek in his car. How long had he been sitting there? He noticed me watching and started his car and drove off. As i sat there looking out the window i decided i would do just what Derek had told me to do. Take care of everyone.
