"So where do we go now?" I asked
"We go find our ride." Mr. Nite said kindly smiling back at me.
"Who's picking us up?" Rosi asked grabbing her bag and joining us.
"Se..." Mr. Nite started.
"WELCOME HOME! MY FAVORITE COUSINS HAVE ARRIVED ALONG WITH MY FAVORITE AUNT! AND GRAMPS LONG TIME NO SEE RIGHT? AND YOU BROUGHT YOUR LOVELY FRIENDS! WELCOME! DO THEY SPEAK ENGLISH?" A man with bright greenish blue eyes exclaimed dramatically with a huge happy smile running up to us.
Sebby. That's his name.
"Sebby! Quit your shoutin!" A pretty brown haired woman exclaimed coming up behind Sebby and hitting him in the back of the head.
And that's John's aunt Shelly.
"Shut up you idiot. You're making a scene." Rosi said walking up to Sebby and patting him on the shoulder.
"Sebby. Aunt Shelly. How are you?" John asked walking up to them with a big smile.
"We have been just fine. And you? How was your trip?" Shelly enthusiastically asked.
"Mother." Sebby started.
"Oh how silly of me! I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Shelly and this is my son Sebastian but he prefers to be called Sebby." The woman said grinning from ear to ear.
"Hello. I am Oliver Davis and these are my assistants Lin Koujo and Mai Taniyama." Naru said gesturing to myself and Lin.
"And this is Ayako Matsuzaki Takigawa and her husband Hōshō Takigawa but we call him Monk this is Osamu Yasuhara we call him Yasu. And this is Masako Hara." Naru said naming everyone in our group.
"It's lovely to meet you all." Sebby stated happily.
"Come on lets stop crowding around and lets go." Hana said hugging Shelly.
"Alright." Shelly said smiling.

•10 minutes later on the way to Mr. Nite's manor•

"Sarah how did you like Japan darling?" Shelly asked.
"I liked it aunty Shelly!" Sarah exclaimed.
"That's great darling!" Shelly said

"John? Rosi? How was your trip?" Shelly inquired breaking the short peaceful silence.
"Um... it was good it had its downs though." Rosi responded.
"What were the downs sweetheart?" Shelly inquired.
"Um grandfather didn't tell you?" Rosi asked.
"No." Shelly replied.
"Rosalie no." Sebby whispered.
"You know what she's talking about?!" Shelly demanded.
"Aunt Shelly calm down please." John begged.
"It's not a big deal. Okay? I passed out and had to go to the hospital, that's it." John continued.
You didn't just pass out.
"You were in the hospital and no one bothered to tell me!" Shelly snapped.
"That's right because we knew you would overreact and pitch a fit to go and then who would have taken care of Lucy and Piper? They obviously can't take care of themselves, can they?" John asked
Lucy and Piper?
"Fine. And of course they can't! They're cats! No need to be sarcastic!" Shelly snapped.
Oh. Cats.
"Well no need to overreact over simple non important things." John countered calmly.
"Just remember. I'll kick your ass pretty boy!" Shelly yelled.
"I'd pay to see that." Ayako chimed in.
"Really?" John inquired.
"Yes real..." Shelly started
"Shut up!" Sebby snapped.
"I'm trying to drive." He continued quietly.

No POV

"So grandfather where is the case located?" Rosi asked curiously.
"My manor." Mr. Nite said
"What?" John asked.
"I'm the client and the case is located at my manor." He said calmly.
"Why didn't you tell us?!" John yelled.
"John. Please."
"Why didn't you tell us!" Rosi growled
"Because if I had you wouldn't have agreed to work on this case!" Mr. Nite yelled.
"You're damn right we wouldn't have!" John yelled.
"Calm down." Hana demanded.
"Mother you knew about this?!" Rosi asked in disbelief.
"Yes" Hana stated
"Why does your manor need to be investigated?" John asked darkly.
"John. Please let me explain." Mr. Nite begged.
"Why? Is it because Joey? Is that it?!" John demanded.
"No! It's not just because of Joey. My brother. Max. Your grandfather. His spirit is changing. He's getting violent." Mr. Nite said quietly.
"Violent?" Masako asked curiously.
"Yes violent. He's dangerous. After John and Rosalie left a vase was thrown against the wall just a few inches away from my head. We can't have guests over because he throws stuff, pushes people, pulls hair, and appears randomly." Ms. Nite explained.
"Is he the only spirit?" Monk asked.
"No. We have also seen my recently deceased mother and my son Joey." Ms. Nite said uneasily.
"Gramma?" John asked sadly.
"Yes. She has been seen in the house." Hana stated
"We should of just stayed in Japan." Rosi mumbled
"John?" Mr. Nite asked
"Just leave me alone grandfather." John said quietly.
"I'm sorry. We should have told you." Mr. Nite added.
"You think?" John asked icily.
"Well it's too late to turn back now." John muttered coldly as the car pulled into a long driveway to a huge mansion.

"Wow!" Ayako exclaimed marveling at the beautiful manor in front of her.
"It's huge!" Mai shouted causing Naru to glare at her.
"John? Rosi? Is this where you guys grew up?" Mai asked curiously.
"No." They replied.
"Our old house is about five miles down the road." John answered distantly.
"But we did spend a lot of time here growing up. Almost every summer and the weeks when we weren't in school." Rosi added.
"Oh. That sounds like it was fun." Ayako said eying the manor like it was a fine cut diamond.
"Yes it was." John said smiling a little at the memories he had in this house.
"Mother? We shouldn't take Sarah in there." John said quietly
"She will be fine." Hana said calmly as the car came to a stop in front of the house.
"Yeah sure." John said getting out of the car the moment it stopped and started walking towards the house.
"You should have told him." Naru stated coldly. He looked pissed.
"Yeah I know." Mr. Nite mumbled.
"Is Charles still here?" Rosi asked suddenly
"Yes. He said and I quote "I have worked for you for thirty-five years sir. I am not about to quit now" and then he asked me what I wanted for dinner." Mr. Nite exclaimed.
"Nothing phases that man." Mr. Nite continued.
"Who is Charles?" Ayako asked.
"My butler. He's more like a roommate that insists on cooking and cleaning though." Mr. Nite said thoughtfully
"Well let's go in." Ms. Nite chimed in.

John POV

I can't believe they would keep this from me!

"Ah. Master Jonathan! Welcome home."
"Hey Char. How's things?" I asked
"Well other than all these paranormal disturbances, everything has been great. Mistress Shelly has brought me two cats to take care of." Charles informed me happily.
"That's great Char really but I have a question." I said quickly
"What is it?"
"Who have you seen in the house? You know um ghosts. Whose spirits?" I asked quietly.
"Master Jonathan. I am sorry." Charles started.
"Have you seen Joey and Gramma?"
"Yes. I have."
Great. Just great! Why couldn't he have just told us! Told me. I don't want to be here.
"Master Jonathan! Where are you going?" Charles yelled after me.
"My room!" I shouted
Damn it I sound like a spoiled brat!
Maybe I won't see Joey or Gramma. I really hope that I don't. I can't. I just can't.
Well my room hasn't changed.

I have a weird feeling.
"Hey bro!" Someone yelled from behind me.
"Shi...!" I yelled losing my balance.
"No cursing!"
"Joey!" I yelled in disbelief
"Yeah. Yeah you don't have to yell."
"What the hell! Why are you here?" I demanded.
"Well I guess you're not happy to see me?"
"No I'm not. You need to move on." I whispered.
"Not until this is over." He mumbled.
"This?" I asked curiously.
"I can't tell you yet. But please trust me. Just trust me it will all be ok." Joey whispered.
"John!" Rosi yelled from outside the door
"Why not!" I whispered harshly turning to face my brother.
"Just trust me."
"Don't you dare leave without giving me an answer." I growled as Joey began to fade
"John? Why was the door locked?" Rosi asked.
"Ro?" I asked quietly.
"What is it? What happened?" Rosi inquired.
"I just saw Joey. He said he can't move on until all this is over." I replied
"All this? What does he mean by that?"
"I don't know." I answered.
I have a feeling we are all gonna find out. Sooner than later.
