Mech X-3?

Ch2

I went throughout the day avoiding everyone, including Ryan. I just really wanted him to like me; I just want someone to like me.

I was in my very last class and so far I've had four classes with Ryan, meaning there's only three periods I have to myself. Oh and I have 2 with my sister, I still haven't spoken to her since the incident, or to anyone for that matter. But every time I am with a class with Ryan I don't talk or look at him, I just hide behind a book or put my head down. Everyone already knows me as 'new girl' and 'water fountain' I don't need anymore attention being drawn to myself. Back to what I was gonna say before, it's last class and I'm here with no one to pester me....

Until someone tries to sit beside me and start a conversation with me.

"Hi" this person greeted me politely, the least I could do was be nice in return.

I looked at them and smiled politely, straightening my posture; my nose scrunched up, it does that when I smile, it's one of the things I like about myself.

This was a boy, he had messy, brown hair that was kept hidden in a black hat with the word 'beast' on it.

"Hello." Was all I said back to him, simply going back to doodling on my paper.

He tapped me on the shoulder.

"I'm Spyder." He said smiling

I nodded at and responded with, "I'm Roechelle. I just started going to school here."

"Really, where'd you go before?" He asked, how do I explain this? I guess I have to tell him the truth.

"I've never went to school before, This is my first time going to public school. I've been in programs to keep me one step ahead of my grade level, though." I told him, he seemed impressed with my statement.

"Wow, so you're like, super smart, huh?" He asked amused.

"Well, I guess you could say that." This kid is adorable, not like Ryan Walker, but in the way only a Spyder could be.

"You should meet my friends after school; we're always hanging out, building stuff, and we fight monsters-" his face went in shock at what he said.

"-in video games, we love those video games, ya know being guys and all."

So we're playing the secrets game now? Well looks like I'm joining.

"Oh, that's sounds great, but I have to get home, I have stuff to do like- oh, never mind it's all boring anyways."

"No, you can tell me, what is it?"

"Well it's..." I said as I used my power to make the bell go off.

"...oops, ran out of time. See ya later Spyder." When I got halfway down the hall he cupped his hands around his mouth, he yelled at me,

"So there will be a next time?"

By the time I responded the sunlight was in my eyes making me squint; either way, I yelled, "Definitely."

When I left I saw Marissa and her friends, again, "Hey, baby sister." She tried to greet me.

I didn't respond all I did was keep on walking, which she decided to react to by following me.
