"Roe, you have to do it!" Marissa screamed at me.
"I can't, it'll ruin everything."
"Rochelle, people's lives are at stake here."
"I just I-"
"You can, you can do it. Just have faith in yourself."
"Marissa, I told the rest of them, no one's lives are in danger; I'm just telling Ryan that I am, in fact, adopted."
"I know, but you're telling him today, if it's the last thing I do." She says as she walks up the stairs.
I roll my eyes, walking over to my living room and face planting onto my couch. My front door opened and the sound of footsteps were heard.
My sister then ran from upstairs and pounced on my back.
"Ow, Marissa, I'm still injured. What would you have done if you'd kill me?" I pushed her off of me and onto the floor.
"I'm about to if you don't do the thing!" She yelled at me, pulling me off of the couch.
She's been doing this for a couple of hours seeing as me and Ryan's anniversary is coming up. The only reason we're celebrating this is because Ryan had mentioned that he likes remembering moments like those.
"Do what thing, what is she talking about, Roe?" My boyfriend asked as he came and placed his hands on my hips.
"Nothing that concerns you." I said using a reference he had used a few nights ago on the phone.
He smiled and furrowed his eyebrows, "So we're playing those games now?"
I shrugged and walked to the couch where I was previously.
He walked near me as the rest of our friends got settled in. He tapped my back, signaling me to sit up; which I did, then slid in me behind me.
He rested his chin on my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist, making me lean my back against his chest. He's tired, he gets handsy when he's tired, well he's already handsy but more handsy.
I looked over my shoulder at my boyfriend.
"Are you sleepy?" I asked him, he did this thing where he tucks his face in my neck as he mumbled a muffled, "mhm"
"Dude, it's 12:00 pm, why are you tired?" Sparrow asked from her place on the big recliner with Spyder.
"It's this stupid medicine that Harris gave us to take." He said angrily, he gets feisty when he's tired as well.
"Us, who is us?" I said, sass dripping from my voice.
"We're 'us', love, you gotta take it too, Harris or Harriet hasn't given it to you yet." Ryan explained, chuckling sleepily and stuffing his face in the crook of my neck even more.
"Bro, that is not cool, I don't want to take some janky medicine!" I told Harriet.
"It'll make your healing time so much faster, you'd be able to get better by tomorrow and the only side affect is drowsiness
"Fine, I'll take it." I caved, I realized that I forgot my phone upstairs; "I'll be back, I forgot my phone upstairs."
I tried to get up, but a tired Ryan latched onto my torso. I tapped his arm a couple of times, he just hugged me even tighter.
"Let me up, sleepy boy." He did as told, he wasn't aware of anything until I left his presence, he woke up a lot more then.
I jogged up the stairs and into my room, soon I heard the sound of my screaming boyfriend and 2 steps of feet trudging up the stairs. Mark was carrying Ryan over his shoulder as Marissa was right behind the two. The older brother threw his younger sibling into my room as my older sister closed the door behind her.
