I was walking to my 5th period the next day; our plan couldn't be executed yesterday because of an angry Abuela and Victoria, with you guys know who. The only two people in the world that no one else can see but me. I don't even know what to call them, I mean they have my face, my body, and now they have my life. My everything. My nothing, anything.
I've ran into Ricky 4 times since our first encounter and now these two. Are on guard, and now have been following me everywhere. Oh, and Harris has been non-stop talking about the Harper Grant. Harriet has been so supportive, but she wants to smash Veracity's face in. I feel like we're going to see a lot more of her in the future.
"Hey, baby sister!" Marissa screamed, excusing herself from her cheerleading friends. Yup, my sister the cheerleader. That's why we took up all of these things; we do acro, aerial, gymnastics, cheer, and ballet. I don't cheer on a team, but I help her out; trying to be a good sibling and what not. Anyways, back to my current state.
"Hey, big sister." I greeted as she came into earshot, tugging my bag up further on my shoulder.
"Wanna help me out with something after school?" She asked with hope glistening in her eyes.
"What is it?" I asked skeptical as to what she was getting at.
"Well you see, Alexandra...."she looked away for a split second before continuing," she sprained her ankle and.."
"No." I answered bluntly," I'm not gonna sit around with your la-di-da friends and fill in for her. They don't even like me." I said.
"You're my little sister, you have to help me." She begged, complainingly.
"No, I really don't, what do you think this is?" I said turning away from her getting ready to go walk away.
"But, I have to make up from all the time I've lost, you know, helping you and your boyfriend save the city." She said as if I owed her.
"And I've been saving your butt with mom, you know, making excuses up. And besides I never asked for any of this."
You didn't ask for this, so stop beating yourself for everything.
Well she's here now, might as well make something of herself.
I never asked for any of this,I never asked to be alive, I never asked to be left, I never asked to stay alive...who says I have to.
"You didn't, little sister, but that's just what you are. My little sister, this one favor and I'll go easy on the rest of the favors I ask you from now on." She said, practically on her knees, pleading.
"That's a lie. But I'll help you." I agreed, begrudgingly.
"Yay." She said as if she took a breath of relief, hugging me. I wrapped my arms around her, scoring s moment. She tried to pull away before I pulled her back to me saying," you're my big sister."
"Yeah," she said hugging me tighter in the middle of the school hallway," and I always will be."
"What's going on?" We heard a voice ask, we separated. With my arms around her waist and hers on my shoulders. It was our group, of course. Spyder was the one who interrupted our moment.
"Hey, techno-freak." My sister said to my boyfriend; that is the new nickname that she's adopted for him.
"I told you to stop calling me that." He reminded her, rolling his eyes and groaning.
"Guess what guys." I said to my friends. A chorus of 'huh's and 'what's erupted from them.
"I'm gonna be a cheerleader." I said enthusiasm no where to be found in my voice.
