This has some smut in it and it's my first one with me trying really hard. Uh, please be kind and have mercy I try really hard for you guys.
"Veracity, out of all people." Harriet said as she started to work on her little robot. It was the next day and they had just gotten the news about the Harper Grant. Harris won, Harriet didn't.
"You did an amazing job, my little brainiac; if only you would've been out on the floor instead of in the robot, then you would've won." Harris cooed to my fiend her olive skin paled and her raven hair hung over her face.
"Thank you, my little Einstein, but I work so hard. Looks like my stars got smothered in Veracity's 'black hole in a box', ugh." She mocked as she rolled her eyes and did over dramatic air quotes.
"Well I think stars are much greater than whatever Veracity made," I said as Marissa looked at me from her place on Mark's lap.
"Is it because..."she started and began. To trail off, not knowing if I wanted to share the intense memory with my friends.
"Yes, it's because," I said to her as Ryan's eyebrow raised.
"What, because of what?" He asked to wrap his arms from behind me.
"I was adopted when I was seven, but before that I used to run away all the time," I shrugged; Ryan frowned deeply.
"What does that have to do with my stars?" Harriet asked curiously.
"I would run in the woods and hide in the hollows of old trees, the stars kept me company." I said as if it was no big deal.
"I'm sorry, Roe." Spyder said," at least you didn't get torn apart by a pack of wolves." He said trying to lighten the mood.
The rest of them glared at the boy with his signature hat. "Was that something I shouldn't have said?" He chuckled nervously. Sparrow his the boy so hard his hat flew off.
"It's not a big deal, honestly guys." No emotion in my voice at all.
"Are you alright?" Ryan leaned up to my ear to ask.
I nodded as his response.
"So about this underwater thing," I said, shaking my head and changing the subject.
"Oh, we have to find out a way for the robots to sustain an underwater climate." Harriet said in a know-it-all tone.
"Well they could bare ooze, what says they couldn't handle a little water?" Spyder spoke up.
"Water pressure. There is a thing called water pressure." I said in a monotoned voice. I guess it's apart of Temporal Dysplasia.
"You're right, Roe, and we need be able to-" Harris began before his alarm went off, he looked at it and started to hurriedly gather his items.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm gonna be late to go to Harper's I'll send the dreets later." He said before going down the elevator.
