"Abuela is coming to visit." She said in a panicked, frantic voice.
"I'm leaving the country."
"Come one, Roe, she isn't that bad." My sister tried to reason with me.
"Abuela means grandmother right?" Ryan asked from where he was beside me, looking up from where he and Harris were talking about something.
"Yup, and ours is coming to visit for the week or 2. Oh god, what if she never leaves?" Mari panics.
"Then I will really leave the country and never come back." I said, tinkering with something unknown to my knowledge.
"What's so bad about your grandma, is she one of those weird old cat ladies?" Spyder jumped into the conversation.
"No, think old Hispanic lady with big, bouncy curly hair and yells in Spanish with a thick accent." Marissa explained.
"I don't see anything wrong with that," Ryan said as Mark came up besides him saying," why is she so bad?"
"She isn't but they are," I started," yeah, they always cause problems when their presence is known." Marissa finished.
"Who's 'they' and what makes them so bad?" Harriet asked from her place of twiddling with wires in her project while simultaneously typing on her tablet, we got the location of Leo the other day. Ryan's been on a power trip and today is the day that Harri2 will go to their 'Harper Grant' whatever.
"They're our cousins. Everyone always flocks to our house for visits, they found out that Roe went to the hospital and now we're going to be suffocated with family and tamales," my sister said, to with I finished with,"not that we're complaining with the food or anything." I smirked.
"Do you think you'll be able to get away to the robots, we still need to get Leo and Layla and find out about-" Ryan started.
"Who's behind the monsters and information about our powers, I don't know how we're gonna sneak away with a fam-nado warning whirling in." I explained.
For a split second he had a look of disappointment before they all caught what I said.
"Did you just say,'fam-nado', what is that?" Sparrow asked from her place next to Spyder trying to act like she wasn't hard core flirting.
"It's a family tornado, it was a fam-nado watch the other day but now at coming in and strong. We need a hotel and our house to sustain these people." Marissa took the words rift out of my mouth, well, head.
"That many people?" Mark asked.
"Yup, which means you two are no longer our boyfriends." I said pointing to the two Walker brothers.
"What?" They yelled simultaneously, looking afraid and worried.
"Calm down," I giggled," we aren't really breaking up with you guys." Marissa finished for me.
"Yeah, we have a thing in our family that every eldest has to approve of the relationship, it isn't a real rule, but it's an unspoken fact." Marissa said walking out the door, with me on her heels.
"So why does that mean we can't be your boyfriends?" Ryan asked as we all lead ourselves up to the X-deck through the elevator.
"We wouldn't want you guys to go through that for the whole week."
"Yeah, we love you too much." I said as I kissed Ryan's cheek he sat down in a chair with me in his lap.
"Well, I would be the one to pass. Everyone loves me, I'm Mark Walker." Mark said cockily swinging his arm around my sister.
