I walked outside... but today I took extra long to make sure Fukumi was nowhere to be seen. After I saw her crying on the playground, I had finally admitted to myself my feelings for her.

The weather today was way different from yesterday. Orange and and yellow leaves gently blew all over the sidewalk, some gently into the canal. The sun was shinning, and it was cold and crisp, and with every word I said a puff of smoke rose into the air.

There was no sign of Fukumi-chan. I tightened my scarf and began to walk to school. "There is no way I am ever going to let Fukumi know I like her... ever.."

---Later---

I quietly slipped into my seat beside Fukumi-chan, in math. I was terrified, I dared not make eye contact with her.. but she did..

"Hey Taco-chan, good morning!"

"Oh... hey.. good morning to you too." I stuttered. My heart was palpitating.

"Hey..." I started. "Why were you crying.. yesterday.. at the park?"

She looked at me in shock, than she smiled. "Oh.. that nothing, I was just waiting for somebody.."

I nodded and pretended to understand.

"This is so bee-brained. I'm afraid to talk to Fukumi?... I can't believe I like her, this is dumb."

I couldn't pay attention to the lesson. I was too busy being terrified by Fukumi's presence. Soon the bell rang, and I was free to run away and go hide somewhere. I dumped my textbooks in bag and left the room.

Fukumi's P.O.V

I was in no hurry to leave the classroom. Takato ran out of the classroom like he'd seen a ghost for some reason.. totally not like him :(

I grabbed my backpack to leave the room.

"Miss Hayashi, it seems Mr. Katigawa has forgot is backpack... do you mind returning it to him?"

I smiled. "Of course Sensei!" I looked over my shoulder at his school bag, witch was still sitting there. "Stupid Takato, if he was paying more attention, he wouldn't have forgotten this."

---Later---

I held Takato's backpack out in front of me as I walked down the hallyway. I figured he probably had some stupid diary of his romantic occurrences with me, so I gave him his privacy.

When I walked outside the school, I found Takato sitting a park bench by himself, starring emotionally at the sky.

"Hey Taco-kun!"

"Oh, hey Fukumi." His eyes bulged at the sight of me holding his backpack. "Fukumi.. you stole my backpack?!"

I rolled my eyes. "No silly, you left it behind in class, and I'm returning it too you."

I put my backpack on the bench beside him. "You should really be more careful with your things, your way to careless!"

He snorted. "Okay, thanks than, you can leave now." he put his arm over his backpack.

I smiled. "Now that is the Takato I know."

---Later---

Takato's P.O.V

I looked cautiously around for Fukumi as I tried to leave school. "Knowing Fukumi, she'll probably want to walk with me or something." I snorted. But no, Fukumi was nowhere to be seen, so began my journey home.

"Takato! Takato!" a pink haired girl came and grabbed my hand. "Hey Taco-chan, I have a suprise for you!!"

I yanked my hand away. "Oh great, what now."

"You'll see!" she pulled me all the way back to the school and forced me into a red luxury caravan.

"Hey mom! I got him, let's go now!"

I rubbed my eyes. Fukumi had just dragged me into her mom's car.. and now they were taking me somewhere?!

"Takato! Nice to see you again!" Mrs. Hayashi said.

I let out a long sigh. "Typical Fukumi."

---Later---

After about 10 minutes of driving, Mrs. Hayashi pulled up in front of a small family run restaurant. "Thank you for being so nice to my daughter. Me and Fukumi thought we should do something nice for you, so we took you here!"

Fukumi grabbed my hand again and dragged me to a table inside the resturant. I sat beside her, while Mrs. Hayshi sat on a chair across from us.

The waiter came up to us. "Hello Mrs. Hayshi, Fukumi.." she paused when she saw me. "Fukumi.. is this your boyfriend?"

"Yessssir!" Fukumi proudly lied. "He's my senpai." she smirked. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, are you ready to order? Also.. you are a very lucky boy!" the waitress said, looking at me.

"I sure am! " I fake smiled, than I turned to give Fukumi a glare.

---Later---

Most of the meal was made up of Fukumi-chan teasing me, and embarrassing me in front of the other people that worked there.. yet I managed to sit through it all, and at least enjoy my food.

Fukumi's phone vibrated in her pocket.. she took it out. "Mom.. I'm so sorry but Madoka-kun and Mitzuka-san are waiting for me at the mall.. can I please be excused?"

"Oh, of course dear." Mrs Hayashi smiled.

Fukumi quickly stood up from the table.

"See ya later Taco-chan!" Fukumi giggled before taking off.

Mrs. Hayashi looked at me and beamed. "You know, I never have seen Fukumi so happy since the death of her father."

My heart nearly skipped a beat. "Fukumi... doesn't have a father?" I did have a father, but unlike Fukumi-chan mine was divorced from my mom.. I still visited him though.

Mrs. Hayashi nodded. "Fukumi... actually has a lot of mental health complications." her smile faded. "Her depression is so severe, that after one break up, last year, she tried....... you know what I mean, don't you?"

I could not believe what I was hearing. Fukumi always seemed so happy-go-lucky.. out of all the people I know.. she struggles with depression.

"Takato.. you make my daughter happy.. can you please.. continue to make my daughter happy?"

"What do you mean?.. Be her boyfriend? Take care of her?"

Mrs. Hayashi nodded.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Hayashi.. but I cannot do that."

The woman laid a 100 dollar bill on the table.

"On second thought!" I smiled. "I would love to take care of your daughter!"
