On a normal day, you would be at home, with your best friend Sierra, watching some stupid television show that you two found extremely dumb but funny at the same time.

On a normal day, you would be texting to the boy you were massively in love with as if he was your boyfriend, when in reality, he was anything but it. But, he had been dropping things that seemed like hints to you, whenever you two had to say goodbye, he would say "goodbye babe" or something else that made your poor heart flutter.

On a normal day, you would be laughing with your best friend, a mouth full of food while she completely failed at baking the chocolate chip cookies that were once in the oven, cooking perfectly, but when you took it out, they were a dark tone of brown, and if you picked it up, it would crumble in your hands.

On a normal day, you would be focused on getting the boy you loved, Takashi Morinozuka's, attention, doing anything to make him look your way.

But this was anything but an ordinary day, and you knew it, you knew because when you called up your best friend, she didn't answer.

When you attempted to text Takashi, he hadn't replied, not even a single "hello" to your "hey, how are you doing?", and it obviously had you wondering where the two of them had been.

It wasn't until when you saw Sierra's caller ID show flash across your iPhone screen when you had snapped out of your thoughts about them, you swiftly picked up your cellphone as you pressed the green button, putting it up to your ear as you walked to your kitchen to get a glass of water.

"Hello?" You spoke, opening the cupboard, reaching on your tippy toes to get a small glass.

"Hey Y/N! Why'd you call?" Sierra asked you, in the background you swore you could hear another voice mumbling some things, but you ignored it, thinking it was the television or your imagination. Once you had got your glass, you walked over to the sink, turning it on and putting a good amount of water in the glass you held.

"Oh! I was wondering, um, if you wanted to hang out?" You asked, putting the cold glass upon your lips, tilting it upwards a bit as the cold liquid entered your mouth, but you hadn't swallowed it yet.

"Sorry, I can't right now, Takashi asked me out-" She hadn't even finished her sentence before you spit out the water in your mouth, all over the floor, making a complete mess.

You could barely even form a sentence because of the words that came out of your best friend's mouth, you were completely and utterly, shocked.

And you were starting to think he wanted you as much as you wanted him.

"A-are you serious? I - um, have to go, bye." Once you hung up the phone, you bursted into tears, collapsing onto the ground, not giving a single shit about the glass you recently held shattered all over the tiles of your kitchen floor, you didn't care that a piece of the glass has sliced a cut into your left arm, a thick dark red liquid running down your skin, tears pouring out of your eyes, your hair soon became tangled as you wailed about the boy you loved.

Some people might think; "She liked a guy and he didn't feel the same way, it's not a big deal." But oh, it was so much of a bigger deal than that, you loved a man who was there for you when your best friend was not, the man who always surprised you with a movie and chocolate when your best friend was out of town, but now, he's dating your best friend. Your heart was completely shattered, you knew you would never be able to get over the depressing thought of your crush and your best friend would be dating.

You sniffled, standing up, you felt colder than usual, you crossed your arms over your chest, your salty tears still running down your face, you could feel the shards of glass piercing your feet, but you could care less.
