Jack's POV
I was nervous. Really nervous. My mum was in the headmistresses office, signing papers. I was hoping she would say that I wasn't staying, that I was going back home.
Moving to America was kinda scary. I've never really been here before besides to check out the boarding school. I didn't know anyone here. I questioned if they would judge me, my accent and green hair. At least when I'm here I can escape Ryan and Sam.
I'd gotten into some trouble at a party earlier that year that immediately made me illegible for school there. So here I am. Transferring to a new American school that I cared very little for.
I looked out the tall windows that overlooked the main courtyard. There was a massive tree plotted in the middle that blocked most of the Los Angeles sun from everyone. That made me happy because I was pale as the moon.
Several students walked past the window, wearing their uniforms smiling at the ground for some reason. God I hate those uniforms. I saw someone across the courtyard sitting and studying. He intrigued me, his hair black on the base with an explosion of red on the ends. He wore black trimmed glasses and his skin was darker. Way darker than mine.
I watched him as he stood, collected his things and started to walk towards the office. His eyes a deep and dark shade of brown. His walk graceful and very collected. He turned to go an opposite direction than me, disappearing from view.
I heard the office door open and I snatched my head back to pay attention. A woman with a pinned up bun stepped out along with my mum. The lady was thin like me. Her hair jet black with streaks of blond. Her face was stretched but confident.
"Hello Jack. I'm headmistress Suzanne nice to meet you." A broad smile on her face.
"Nice to meet you to ma'am." I say standing to shake her hand. My mum smiles proud of how professional I was acting. She knew I wasn't really like this and that I would probably have a hard time getting used to the atmosphere. She was understanding and cared for me. That's why I'm going to school at Sylvestre Academy."Well I think its time to go get you all settled. Welcome to Sylvestre Jack." We walked outside going into a covered are full of rooms. I could hear music and students laughing enjoying each other's presence.
We turned a corner, then Mrs. Suzanne unlocked a door labeled 147b.
"Welcome! There's an extra bathroom back there." Pointing to a door in the back. She walked out of the room saying something to my mum then left.
My mum looked at me her eyes tearing up a little bit. "I hope you have a wonderful time here Jack. We'll miss you a bunch!" Tears formed in my eyes as I hugged her
"Don't worry mum. I'll be just fine." I lied.
"Okay well call me! Goodbye honey!" She said leaving my room. Well at least I thought it was just my room.I looked to one side of the room to see someone else was living here too. Great. Another person to find out my secrets. I grabbed my neatly packed boxes and started to unpack. I'm going to miss home.
