Mark's POV

It was late. I could tell you that. I honestly did't care though.

In front of me was the most beautiful, smart, sexy person that I've ever met. He was perfect. He is perfect. I couldn't imagine living without him. His eyes sparkled brighter than the sun on a restless ocean. He was staring at me. Why me? I have no clue to be honest.

The sun had yet to set over the horizon, leaving an orange glow from it's late rays. The light was reflecting off the small pond perfectly.

We were back in our own little oasis hidden away from the rest of the school. Alone and separated from the world.

"I love you so much Jack." I said leaning over to kiss his cheek. He blushed profusely, making  me smile at his childish ways.

"I love you too Mark" The way he said my voice ran several shivers down my back. Damn was his accent sexy. Well the internet sure didn't lie about this one.

I stared into his crystal blue eyes, looking for life that had been missing these past week. He took Felix's death like no other, like he lost a brother he had just found out was alive. I saw a spark of joy within them, revealing his past, present and future.

"You know how cute your smile is right?' he said, catching me off guard a bit. "Cause I think you could be a model."

"A model you say," I smirked at the green haired boy.

"You don't believe me? With a smile like that, how those lips curve perfectly, I might even, if I dare, say you are an excellent kisser too." Man did he know how to flirt with me.

"Thanks for making my huge ego even bigger, now kiss me." We leaned in towards each other, our foreheads meeting before our lips. The world disappeared fro view as our lips met, sparks flying around us like they were the only thing that mattered.

We stopped kissing and took in our breath we had lost.

"Was as I as good of a kisser as you thought?" I said a never-ending smirk on my face.

"Not at all. In-fact you were better." I smiled more and grabbed his cheek making our lips lock once more. Jack's tongue slipped through my teeth meeting mine as I grabbed onto the back of his head more. Our lips sealing together for an eternity. We pulled away again, leaving our foreheads touching as we breathed in the polluted air in LA.

Jack looked into my eyes, looking now for my soul."Why can't we stay like this forever?"

I looked at him perplexed. Then a thought came to mind."Because the world won't stop for us.. It'll keep going on and on until there is nothing left of this world."

"I don't want that to happen to us. I don't want our love to die."

"Me either." The lights lining the sidewalk turned on, signaling us to go back to our dorms. "Come on Jack, let's go so we don't get in trouble."

"Alright." We stood and began to walk back to the dorms. A dark figure of a person dashed in front of us, stopping us in our tracks.

"What the hell was that?" Jack questioned.

"I don't know. Probably the janitor or something. They're really creepy here if you haven't noticed already." I said nudging his shoulder. I held out my hand for him to hold so he could feel safer. So I could feel safer.

By the time we got back to the dorm, Jack was clinging to my arm. He was freaking out. I sat him on the bed and held him in my arms, letting his body sink into mine. the heat of our body's radiating of each other's, making my hands sweaty.

"It's ok Jack, I won't let anyone hurt you."

His voice was muffled but I could still hear what he was saying to me. "You promise?"

"I promise you."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me Jack, I love you. It's my job to protect you." I felt his hands hold on to my shirt tighter.

"I love you too."
