Jack's POV
It has been two days since Mark had gone to the hospital and I was devastated. The last couple of days had been rough.
The bell rung, saying that fourth period had started. I raced to my seat before the teacher saw me come in late. My desk was somewhat in the back so it was easier to sneak in the back.
The strange kid that I had met with before was staring at me. A black hoodie covered most of his face but left just enough space to see his red, bloodshot eyes. He kept staring at me like I was prey. I turned away from the strange creature intrigued yet disgusted all at once.
Class dragged on. I missed my fellow classmate and roommate. I let him down didn't I? Damn it. I wish I could have seen who the attacker was. Maybe if I wasn't so lazy, I could've gone with him to get coffee. I feel like absolute trash.
I slouched in my chair and stared down at my books sitting on my desk. I was too worried to finish my worksheet so I pulled my notebook out of my book bag so I could doodle a bit and attempt to clear my mind of Mark. Just until class was over, then I could go to lunch.
The kid in the hoodie however still was staring at me. What in the world does he want from me?
The kid got up and slid into Mark's seat next to me.
"Hey, Jack right? The new Irish kid?" He whispered with a scraggly voice.
"Uhhh Yeah? Why were you staring at me for so long?" I asked creeped out. I could now see his eyes. They were brown except bloodshot all over.
"I have a message for you, from Felix. You know him?"
"Yeah isn't he a druggie?"
His expression darkened as if I'd forsaken a sacred prophecy. "Yes but we do not call him that. He wants you to pay him a visit after your classes are over. His dorm is in the private dorm section. He lives alone the number is 168b. Go alone." The kid slipped back into his seat, again Ms. Gribly not noticing a single thing.
Last time I was invited to go by myself to a druggie's hide out, I ended up in the middle of a cattle field. That was back in Ireland over two years ago. Back then i was messed up. I drank alcohol at school behind the dumpster instead of going to class. I'd slept with most of the girls at that school. They'd thought I was so badass for all the things I was doing.
Even though I knew what I was walking into, I was going anyway. I needed to get my mind off of Mark somehow. Maybe getting high with Felix was the way out. If that's what he wanted to see me for.
The bell rang dismissing me to lunch. I stood in line for ten minutes just to get a sandwich. I was bored out of my mind. I had no other friends. Maybe Ethan or Arin would let me sit with them. I don't think Tyler would want me there.
I walked to where he was sitting anyway. I had a feeling that he had done something. Something he'd regretted. Maybe I was wrong and being loopy.
"Hey Tyler." His back was turned to me and he was talking tho Bob and Wade about some video game stuff. As soon as he had heard my voice he stopped speaking but didn't turn around.
"What do you want you Irish baby?" His back was still turned to me.
"Can I eat with you guys?" Tyler looked at Bob who nodded his head in approval. Tyler took in a deep breath and finally turned to face me.
"Whatever don't sit next to me though. I wouldn't want to get infected." i was burning a temper now. Why was he such an ass? I didn't care right now at least I know where my allies lie now.
I ate my lunch in dead silence. It was tearing apart my soul and I knew I couldn't stay here for much longer.
I got up and dashed out of the area, not caring if I collided with another body.

Classes were over for the day, finally, and I was now on my way to a dark place I would soon revisit after only a few months.
I approached his dorm, carefully not to alarm him much. I knocked on the door and the music that ha been playing in the room faded away a bit. The door opened a crack to reveal the face of the hooded boy who had invited me here.
"re you alone?"
"Yeah."
"Cool. Come on in then. Felix, your visitor is here."
"Finally. Welcome Jack to my dorm. Make yourself at home."
I stepped into the room to the smell of weed and cocaine. A musky cloud could be see lingering in the air. I sat down in a bean bag chair and The hoodie kid handed me a joint.
"My name's Ken by the way." He let out a huge drag and coughed a bit as he sank into his chair. I took in my drag and drifted into the darkness.
I looked at the table next to me, seeing it wave and shake in place.
"Do you have any ecstasy?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah man." He grabbed a baggie from a hidden space in between the bed and wall. He took two out and handed them to me. "Here dude." I smirked and thanked him.
As the night dragged on my mind went a million miles an hour. The walls were turning every different color along with the guys around me then like magic, I was out.

The bright sunlight hit my face like a laser beam. It made my eyes and head spin. After I could see better I looked around the room. It was neither mine or Felix's dorm. It was painted a light shade of green and had posters of dogs all over. What did I do last night?
I heard water running from the bathroom attached to the dorm. I looked down to see all the clothes spread around the floor mine and a female's. Shit, had I slept with another girl? Damn it!
I grabbed my clothes and put them on as quickly as possible and rushed out the door. Luckily no one saw me.
I made it back to my dorm and collapsed on my bed and like a light I was out again. Mark is gonna be so pissed at me.
