Mark's POV
It was early morning. An hour before my classes started. I walked down the pathway from my dorm to the courtyard. I found a spot and sat down in the grass, adjusting my red hair.
The sun was shining through the tree that sat in the middle of the yard. My friends were still sleeping in and refused to wake up. Earlier in the week I had received a letter from the school stating I would have a new roommate soon, which was Ok I just hoped he wasn't a weirdo.
I looked over at the office windows, seeing a tuft of green hair. It was a boy around my age. He wore large frame glasses that looked classy on his figure. He turned his head to look out the window. I dove back to the book I was reading, pretending I wasn't looking at him.
I wonder if he's my new roommate? I glanced back at the office when I stood up, gathering myself. He was still looking at me. Has he been staring at me for that long?
I walked to class. I spotted Felix but I didn't say hi. Only because he was high. He smelt like weed when you were around him. I hated it.
I stepped into my first period class, geometry. I didn't necessarily like math, but I was good at it, so I guess it was alright. I sat down at my desk located next to Arin who was usually late, and Wade.
I got out my pencils and calculator, seeing the green haired boy walk through the door. I glanced up, meeting his gaze. His eyes were the color of the sky, a beautiful shade of blue appearing.
"Okay class this is our new student, Jack McLoughlin. He's transfered from Ireland to go here." Mrs. Grove said. A smile on her face. "Take a seat in front of Mark there." She said pointing to me. A twinkle in his eye immediately appeared.
"Yes ma'am!" He said, his accent finally making an appearance.
"No need to be so formal, Jack."
"Ok Mrs. Grove." He sat down. His hair reminded me of my own. But green and brown. The class pulled along, it was very tiring but hey, at least I'm good at math.
The bell rang, dismissing us to another classroom."Hey. Mark is it?" A voice said from behind my shoulder. I turn around to meet the gaze of the Irishman.
"Yup that's me. Why do you ask?"
"Well I was looking at some stuff in the dorm I share and I'm pretty sure we're roommates." His expression becoming more nervous. He scratched the back of his head as he spoke.
"Oh that's cool. So Jack? Right? Nice to meet you. I kinda have to go to my next class so-"
"Actually I was going to ask if you could guide me to my next class?"He was shy and or nervous. But being the nice person I was, I couldn't refuse.
"Sure. What is it?"
"Physics with Mr. Clumb."
"Ha have fun."We walked down the hall one room, two rooms, there.
"I feel stupid now. Thank you though." I laughed and so did he.
"Your welcome!" I said cheerfully, waving goodbye and walking to my next class.
