"Boyfriend, huh?" He teased. Inirapan ko naman sya.
"It's just a show. Don't flatter yourself too much." I said and continue to eat. We're at his unit. Magluluto daw sya kaya pumayag na ako. Besides, tinatamad na din akong magluto kaya okay na 'to.
"Nah. I'm your boyfriend now." He said and winked. Sus. Gusto din naman pala, dami pang arte.
"Tell me your story." He said out of nowhere. Ang random nya naman ata bigla?
"There's nothing for me to tell. Boring ang buhay ko." I said, dismissing the topic.
"Then tell me how boring your life is." He insisted. I sighed. I put my utensils down and sighed again. Should I tell him this? Pero baka maawa lang sya sakin. I don't need that.
"I won't judge. I'll just listen." He said, giving me his full attention.
"Well, I am an adopted child." Panimula ko. He nodded. As if he's telling me to go on.
"I discovered it just recently. Hindi alam ng mga umampon sakin na alam ko na at wala din akong balak ipaalam. What for? Wala din namang magbabago. Wala pa rin naman silang pakialam sakin." I said. Suprisingly, hindi na ako naiyak. Nasanay na din siguro ako.
"You don't want to find your real parents?" He asked. I smiled weakly.
"I do but what for? Wala na naman sila." I said. His forehead wrinkled. "They're dead. Well, 'yun ang narinig ko sa mga umampon sakin. They died because of a car accident. They said na kasama daw sana ako sa accident na 'yun but seems like my guardian angel saved me." He smiled upon hearing what I've said.
"If you were given a chace to talk to your guardian angel, what would you tell him?" He asked at hindi ko naman napigilan ang pagtawa.
"Well, thank you for that wonderful question." I said as if I am a beauty queen. "I would thank him. Kahit na hindi ganun kaganda ang mga nangyari sa buhay ko, still, I'm thankful. Isa pa, you happened."
I decided na dito na matulog sa unit nya. Magkatabi kaming natulog and nothing happened. We just cuddled.
"You're welcome, Meandra." I wasn't abled to ask what does he mean because I'm too sleepy to talk.
