Alice

Surprisingly the train station isn't very busy. There are only a handful of people in the waiting area with Alice and the others. Alice sits next to Jackson on one bench, Amelia and Rixton sit on a bench across from them. Rixton is in the middle of trying to explain what happened in the garden, well lying about what happened. Mason paces the floor in front of them. He hasn't stopped moving since they got to the station.

"He's been pacing since breakfast." Jackson says leaning into Alice.

"How long has it been since he's seen Samantha?" Alice asks looking over at him.

"A little over two years." Jackson stands up and steps in front of Mason. "Sit down. You are going to wear a hole in the ground."

Mason rubs the back of his neck and looks down at his feet. "The train's late." He says.

Jackson points to the seat next to Alice. "Sit."

Reluctantly Mason walks over to the bend and sits next to Alice. Alice smiles at him and shakes her head.

Mason gives her a frown. "What?"

Alice covers her mouth, trying to contain her laughter.

"It's not funny." Mason says sternly.

"I have never seen you like this. I have never seen you show what you're feeling before." Alice says honestly.

Mason leans forward. "Yeah well, I try not to let what I'm feeling on the inside show on the outside. It makes looking in the mirror easier. I don't want to feel my heart breaking and see it."

"It's true. He does." Jackson adds. "On the small occasion, when he's drunk so we get to see the real him."

Alice leans over and wraps her arms around Mason. "Aw. That is so sad."

"This is exactly why I don't show what I'm feeling. People hug me." Mason says.

His comment makes Alice hug him tighter. Only when a train horn goes off does she let go of him. He jumps to his feet and runs to the edge of the platform. The train pulls into the station and slows to a stop. People file out of the train cars, crowded the station. Some of them are greeted by people in the waiting area, others leave the station alone. When it seems like the last of the passengers have exited the train a blonde haired women holding a brown haired little girl step into view.

"Sam!" Mason yells.

The woman turns her head to look at him. "Mason!" Her face lights up with a smile. She sets the girl and the suitcase she carries on the ground.

Mason stars running. When he gets to Samantha he scoops her up in his arms and spins her around. When he sets her back on the ground they kiss. They stand wrapped in each other's arms, like they are the only two people in the world.
