Rye Il accompanied Gary to the craft store. Gary told Rye Il what he needed and they started going around the different aisle in a quick pace. With only a few hours, there was no time to waste. It helps that they both were familiar with the placement of the products in the store.
After getting what he needed, they rushed back to the university. He pull out his laptop from his bag and opened up the document containing the image sketch of his project. Hye Won, Rye Il and Jihyo tried to help him and after much effort, they finally managed to complete it but it wasn't exactly the same as before.
Gary wasn't happy with the way it turn out but he didn't have the time to do some final tweak. The lecturer, Mr Ryu, came in just after Gary stuck the last cardboard tree to the base.
He issued them with a pop quiz before starting the one hour lecture. At the end of class, the students were told to put their work on their desk before leaving.
Jihyo got up from the chair by the teacher's table after she was done asking some questions regarding to the assignment that was issued. As she turned to walk away, she heard Mr Ryu calling for Gary to go to him.
Her eyes followed Gary as he walked towards her direction. He looked at her for a second before turning to face the lecturer.
"Yes, Mr Ryu?" Gary asked.
"I need to talk to you regarding the project assignment that you just submitted." He said and then turned to look at Jihyo, wondering why was she still standing there.
"Do you have more questions to ask?"
Jihyo's eyes flicked from Gary to Mr Ryu. She shook her head. "No, sir. I'll leave now. Thank you." She said and then bowed before going to her desk to pack her bag.
She purposely took her time to pack her things, trying to listen to the conversation between Gary and Mr Ryu.
"You're always good at doing 3D models and honestly, I was hoping to see another amazing creation of yours. What happened this time? Was the theme too difficult or did you not have enough time to complete it?"
"Not at all, Mr Ryu. The amount of time given was enough."
"Then, why does it look like a last minute work? I don't see you putting in any effort into it."
"I-"
Before Gary could finish his sentence, Jihyo went over to the teacher's table with her bag and interrupted. "Mr Ryu, what you see isn't his original work. I can explain what happened." She rushed to explain.
Gary frowned at her and mouthed at her to leave the classroom but she just cast him a glance and then looked back at Mr Ryu.
"Jihyo, why are you still here? Do you have anything to do with this matter?" Mr Ryu asked.
"Yes!"
"No!"
Both of them shouted at the same time. Mr Ryu looked at the both of them with a puzzled face. "So is she or is she not?" He asked Gary.
"Definitely not." Gary quickly answered.
"This doesn't concern you. Just leave. Rye Il is outside. Tell him I'll be there soon." He told her.
"But-"
"Just go!" Gary raised his voice. Jihyo pursed her lips against each other and mumbled, "alright." She apologized to the lecturer and headed for the door.
"That's not your original work?" Mr Ryu questioned.
"Mr Ryu, don't listen to what Jihyo said. That's my original work. I'm sorry if I've disappointed you."
"Gary, you are a creative person. I don't want to see you fail and then be expelled." The lecturer sighed.
"I will work hard and not let you down."
Mr Ryu nodded his head and told him that he may leave. Gary bowed and left the classroom to find Rye Il. He found him leaning against the lockers with Jihyo standing beside him.
Rye Il pushed himself off the lockers upon seeing Gary approached. Rye Il told him that Jihyo had informed him about what happened and asked if he was alright. Gary shrugged his shoulder and said it was nothing much.
He looked at Jihyo but didn't say a word to her, simply because he was annoyed by how she tried to help him. It's not that he doesn't appreciate her help. He does but by choosing to tattle tale, it would only create more troubles which he doesn't want.
"Go home by yourself. I need to run some errands." he said to Rye Il and then turned to leave without waiting for his reply.
Rye Il shouted an 'okay,' leaving Jihyo slightly confused by it. Usually Rye Il would insist on tagging along but he didn't this time. He noticed her puzzled look.
"He's not running any errands. He just need to go for a walk to clear things in his mind. He always does that whenever something unpleasant happens." Rye Il explained to her.
"Where does he usually go to?"
Rye Il rubbed his chin and gave it a thought. "Yeouido hangang park. He usually goes there."
" Yeouido.." She mumbled.
"Are you leaving now? Let's leave together." She snapped out from her thoughts and nodded her head.
Rye Il accompanied Jihyo to wait for the bus and watched her board it before walking back to his house.
Jihyo sat at the seat by the window towards the back. She stared out of the window and watched the passing scenery. She thought about the way Gary reacted when she tried to help him; how annoyed he seemed to be when he looked at her. She let out a deep sigh and looked to the front of the bus to see where it was heading to.
Should I look for him? She pondered for a few seconds and then pressed the stop button. The bus stopped right in front of the bus stop and the door opened and she alighted.
She walked to the entrance of Yeouido Hangang Park and looked at the map of the park. Not knowing where to begin from, she decides to just walk around and see if luck is on her side.
After walking around for 15 minutes, she still couldn't find Gary. Maybe he didn't even came here, she thought.
She was so preoccupied that she didn't hear the persistent sound of a ringing bicycle bell coming from her left. When she came to realize that the bike was coming towards her, she stepped backwards to avoid it but lost her balance and fell onto the grass. At the same time, the rider brake just in time to avoid hitting her. The front tire was touching her shoe.
"Jihyo?"
