For the next few days, Jihyo had been giving him the cold shoulder. He still send her to work as usual but they stay mostly quiet throughout the ride even as Gary tried to strike a conversation with her, she would either look out of the window and dazed out or closed her eyes to sleep.
"Take this with you," he reached for the paper bag at the backseat and passed it to her.
She gave it a glance then looked away. "Save it for yourself," she muttered and opened the car door and alighted.
Gary got out from his car and stood by it watching her as she made her way to the building. He looked down at the paper bag that he was holding and closed the door with a gentle push.
Wayne, his colleague, came up to him the moment he entered the office. "Gary, there will be a joint meeting together with the in-house manufacturing team in an hour time.
Gary whipped out his phone and tapped on the calendar icon to check on his schedule. As he swiped through it, he had a puzzled expression on. "There isn't suppose to be any meeting today." He said, and looked at Wayne.
"I forgot to mention. This morning, Dre called for it. He said something about wanting to discuss the design concept with the other team. I guess it is for some big enterprise hence the urgency."
Gary nodded and asked, "who will be there?"
"The team leaders of both teams and also two staff from each team will be there." He said and showed him the namelist.

He stiffened slightly when he saw Jihyo's name on the list. Given their current state, he wondered if they will be able to communicate and go through the meeting smoothly.
Wayne passed him a folder and said, "inside contains the materials needed for the meeting. The blueprint, sketches, etc."
"Alright, thanks. By the way, I've something for you as well." Gary unzipped his bag and took out a black ring file. "Due to some reasons, I'm unable to follow through her case till the end. I've explained to Dre regarding the change in designer and he has approved it. So from now onwards, you'll be in charge of this client. Everything from the design concept to the timeline are all in here. Feel free to ask if you have anything you're unsure of."
Wayne looked at the file and nodded, "I will."
They return to their own desks and Gary started browsing through the meeting materials. As he was reading through the 30-page document, he heard a knock on his table. He raised his head and saw Dre looking at him.
"Is there anything, Dre?" Gary asked.
Dre smiled and shook his head. "You looked so stressed out. I thought I should show you some concern." He said.
"That frown on your face isn't about the meeting right?"
Gary smiled dryly. "We're still having a cold war. But don't worry, I won't mix personal issues with work."
"I hope you won't. Try to work things out with her." Dre gave him a word of advice and placed down a cup of juice.
Gary stared at the drink a moment then looked at him and nodded.
