When we arrived back at our place, I dumped Rye Il on the couch and went to take a quick shower.

After showering, I headed down to the convenience store to stock up on a few cans of hangover drink.

When I returned, the first thing I heard was the sound of Rye Il snoring. He was still lying down in the same position on the couch. I kept the canned drinks in the fridge and took a blanket from his room, before throwing it over his body. It will probably be in the morning when he wakes up.

I went back to my room, closed the door and plopped myself down on the bed. I grabbed my phone on the nightstand and leaned my back against the headboard. I opened the photo gallery and there were a total of 100 new photos inside. I knew it wouldn't be a good thing when Hye Won and Rye Il started to ask me for my phone.

Most of the photos captured are of Hye Won and Rye Il making silly faces. Then, there are also a few photos of the four of us. I continued to scroll down until I saw a photo that stood out from the burst shot of Rye Il's face. I tapped on the photo so that it now fits the screen perfectly.

It was a candid shot of Jihyo laughing. Strands of hair were falling loosely around her face and she was holding onto an empty shot glass. I felt the corners of my lips curving upwards. I was still staring at that photo when my phone started ringing in my hand, and the screen changed to show the caller ID.

"Hello," I answered.

"Hello, Gary oppa. I'm sorry if I woke you up. "

"I'm still wide awake," I chuckled. "Is there something that you want to talk about? I asked, and realised that this was the first time Jihyo called me.

"Erm.. I just wanted to ask if Rye Il oppa is alright."

"Don't worry, he's fine. He's sleeping like a log, " I replied.

I heard her soft laughter on the other end of the phone before she replied, "that's good." She became quiet after that and somehow, I feel that she did not call just to check on Rye Il. There seems to be some other reasons behind it.

"Is there something else that you want to say?" I questioned.

"N..no. I'm glad that he's alright. Oppa, I have to hang up now. Bye!" Before I could even reply, she had already hang up the call.

I pulled the phone away from my ear and stared at it. Sje just abruptly ended the call but I'm not surprised by it. Hye Won always does that to me. I repeat, ALWAYS. Girls and their unpredictable actions. Maybe she really was just calling to check on him. I put my phone on the nightstand and switched off the light.

The next morning, I woke up at around 9am to a growling stomach. Come to think of it, I skipped dinner last night. There wasn't enough ingredients in the fridge to make a meal and also, we ran out of ramyeon. I rubbed my stomach to ease the growling monster inside and went to wash up.

The weather was colder than I had expected. It is currently autumn and the temperature in the morning can dip to as low as 10 degree Celsius. I pulled the hoodie up, over my head, and walked to the supermarket. I took a basket and started on my grocery shopping spree. Thankfully, I made a list of what I needed to buy before going to the supermarket. Within a few minutes, the basket was already fully loaded and I was ready to check out.

Walking home with four plastic bags filled with a week worth of staples was an easy feat. Instead, trying to get my keys out from my pocket with two bags hooked onto my fingers on each hand was the most difficult thing to do. I ended up having to lay all four bags down on the floor to unlock the door.

As I close the door behind me, I heard a thud coming from the living room and then followed by a loud groan.

I walked to the kitchen, passing by the couch and saw him lying on the floor with the blanket wrapped around his body. "Are you awake?" I asked while storing the dried staples in the cabinet.

"Sort of.." Rye Il replied in a raspy voice. He walked over to me in an unsteady manner and plopped down heavily on the counter stool. "Ow.. my back hurts and my head feel likes it's going to explode." He twisted his body left and right, before propping his elbows on the counter and rested his head in his hands. Does he expect to feel fine after rolling down from the couch? I shook my head and retrieve a can of hangover drink from the fridge.

"You will feel better after drinking this," I slide the drink across the counter to him.

"But it's cold, and the weather is cold."

"Then forget it," I sneered and placed my hand over the canned drink to take it away. Rye Il grabbed my arm and snatched it back. "It's cold but I didn't say that I'm not drinking it. Did you buy breakfast?" He asked. His eyes were fixed on the bag of grocery, next to the fridge.

I rummaged through the bag and took out the two sandwiches which I grabbed at the last minute, and threw one to him.

"You're the best! Thanks!" He said.

I continued to keep the remaining groceries in the fridge. "Jihyo called me last night," I told him.

"What for?" He replied while chewing the sandwich.

"She called to ask about you. Guess she was concern about your condition." I sat opposite him and unwrapped my sandwich, and took a bite.

He suddenly froze. His mouth hang open with the sandwich wedged between his upper and lower teeth.
He pulled the sandwich away from his mouth and stared at me as though I just spilled out his secret. Not that he has one anyway.

"Jihyo is concern about me?" He was grinning from ear to ear now but then, his smile faded when he came to realize something.

"Wait. Doesn't that mean she saw my drunk look? Ah! How am I going to face her?" He dropped the sandwich on the table and rubbed his hands against his face, and mumbled.

"That's why you shouldn't have drank so much." I remarked and snickered.
