A stack of files occupied the coffee table, along with two opened laptops. Picking up one of the files, Jihyo flipped through it while taking a sip of her earl grey tea, then put the cup back in it's saucer.
"What do you think of this?" She turned the file towards Gwon sitting opposite her to show him the content.
After giving it only a quick glance, he shook his head, then shifted his attention back to his laptop. "It's not suitable." He commented.
She frowned slightly at his reply.
"Can you kindly explain the reason?" She asked.
Gwon let out an irritated sigh, his fingers paused on the keyboard. "It lacks creativity." He said, lifting his head to look at her.
An exasperated huff escaped from her mouth. She was getting annoyed with the lack of progress. They have been discussing in her office for the entire morning and now, it is already two in the afternoon.
"Gwon ssi, we have spent hours looking through all the files and you rejected every single design."
"The designs doesn't fit." He replied flatly.
"How could you tell when you barely look at them?"
As though to prove his point, he took a stack of files, flipped each of it to the design sketch page and placed them on the table, side by side.
He gestured to her to look at the designs then said, "all the designs are repetitive. I don't have to take a second look at it to tell how boring they look."
"But the design team have been working very hard on this," she reasoned with him.
He tilt his head to a side, one elbow resting against the arm rest, with his finger pressing against his temple.
"That's their job, isn't it?"
She stared at him for a further few seconds, feeling the urge to wipe off that smirk on his face. As Gwon look away from her, she picked up her cup to take another sip but realised that it was already empty.
"I'm going to the pantry." She told him. She picked up her cup and stood up.
"Go ahead. You don't have to ask for permission," he said, brushing her off with a wave of his hand.
Jihyo stopped walking and turned to look at him. "I'm not asking but just informing you." She let out a soft scoff before finally heading out of her office.
She slammed the cup down on the counter and blew out a breath to release some of her pent up anger. "I shouldn't have accepted this project," she mumbled as she tore open a tea bag, and dropped the sachet into the cup. she grabbed the kettle of boiled water and poured some into the cup.
There was a bowl of sugar cubes beside the coffee machine. As she reached out to grab one, a hand came from behind and enveloped hers. Startled, she dropped the sugar cube into the bowl and turned with a gasp.
"Did I scare you?" Gary asked looking somewhat amused.
"Don't do this." She snapped and turned her back towards him. She picked up a sugar cube and put it into the cup of tea, and gave it a gentle stir.
Gary stepped aside then leaned his back against the counter to get a better look at her face. Her brows were still knit together in a frown. She was aware of his stare but she kept her gaze low, focusing on the cup of tea that she was stirring.
"Who's the culprit who made you so mad?" He asked.
Receiving no respond from her , he started listing out all the names of her colleagues. "Ju Won? So Min? Eun Soo?"
