After they talked for a little while, Ziva stood. "I think it's best if we go sort all of this out now. I have someone who owes me a favor who can help us get through this mess quickly."
Tony nodded. "Ah, all the favors people owe you for some reason..."
Ziva winked at Tony. Cass and Sam glanced at each other with uncertainty. Just as Tony was about to lead the way, there was a knock-- more like pounding -- at the door.
Tony walked over, eyebrows furrowed in confusion, motioning for Ziva to keep them back. He opened the door slowly. Two police officers stood there. "Can I help you, officers?"
It was obvious that they were real jerks when they responded abruptly, saying, "Mr. DiNozzo, we have received an anonymous tip that you've abducted two teenage girls. Please let us inside so we can check the place out."
"You have a warrant?" Tony was determined to be more stubborn.
One of the officers pulled out a piece of paper. "Please step aside, sir."
Tony looked over the paper, then sighed. "Let me explain... see, I'm NCIS special agent---"
One of the officers shoved Tony back and advanced into the house. The other followed as they stormed in to find ziva holding a protective hand out towards two very scared girls. Cassie looked at Sam. 'We're in trouble,' She mouthed.
Sam could hear her own heartbeat as it thumped in her chest harder and harder. "Sir, I can explain," She started.
"It's okay, you're safe now," one officer said as he advanced towards Cass and Sam. He took Cassie's upper arm. "Come on, let's get you home."
The other police had a gun pointed at Tony. Ziva could hardly move. It was like a switch flipped in Cassie's head when he touched her. She began shrieking and flinging herself away from him with all her might like a cat being trapped by force, no matter how much it hurt her arm.
"Stop! You don't understand!" She screeched.
Sam couldn't contain herself watching her sister in terror, and she entered attack mode, swinging at the cop, yelling, "get your hands off my sister, you jerk!!!"
The cop grabbed Sam's arms with one hand. "Y'all are safe now, I promise. You can stop. Fighting. Me. I'm here to help you!"
Cassie was sobbing now. She couldn't go back there. Suddenly, Ziva came out of know where and punched the cop right in the jaw. "Let go of my daughters!"
The other cop turned to see his partner stumble backwards. "Stop! You're under arrest for assaulting an officer!"
Sam stepped back from attacking and stepped up on a stool. "STOP!" She yelled louder than anything. Everyone froze. "There's something I need to explain to you two. We can't go back to Mr. Pillar. If you want, I can prove it's horribly unhealthy."
This time, she took off her Hoodie, revealing her shoulders. One was blue and black from where her father had sprained it a few weeks ago.
"The same with my sister." She motioned to cassie, taking another breath. "These are our biological parents. Our mom and dad. Our family. So you aren't taking us back."
Everyone was stunned by Sam's lecture. She still continued. "Now here's what we're going to do... you two cops are going to pay us back for what you've done by telling all your little friends that we are where we belong. Then, you're going to escort my parents, my sister, and I downtown to get this sorted out legally. Got it???"
The cops nodded like little kids. They went downstairs to prepare. Cassie smirked and nudged Sam. "Nice one, sis."
Tony laughed a little. He looked at ziva. "Remind you of anyone?"
He was referring to his speech that he gives every time someone goes missing. Ziva smirked.'Now this is a Family worth fighting for'
