"Michael, I'm huuuuuungry." I whine loudly. He raises an eyebrow at me and glances away from our video game briefly.
"I'm not getting you food." He says. I think we've had this conversation a few times now. I mean, I haven't forgotten anything since I got back here and Michael brought me pancakes. That was like two days ago.
Michael disappears every night for a few hours to go sing and shit, then he comes back with food, we eat and game and never sleep. We pretty much just drive whenever the boys aren't performing, so I stay in this back room all the time. Sometimes Earl comes in and gives me food too. He tells me Cody's gone to the concert with the boys, then he pats Lucifer and leaves again.
"Tess? Hey, you listening?" Michael asks in slight frustration, glancing at me again. I pause our game and he groans.
"The bus stopped like ten minutes ago. I'm gonna get food." I tell him, getting up and starting to walk away. Lucifer follows after me, wiggling that fluffy little butt of his. I walk into the kitchen and Calum gasps.
"Whoa, the bear's out of her den guys." He smirks, winking at me over-dramatically. I flip him off.
"Shut the fuck up. I just want some cheesecake. After I get my food, I'm going back to hibernating." I assure everyone.
"We're in the middle of nowhere. Why cheesecake?" Luke asks. She sitting across from Cody at one of the tiny dining room tables.
"She gets random cravings for chocolate and vanilla swirl cheesecake." My sister explains before I even open my mouth. She gives me a small, hopeful smile.
"Well there's a little diner in with the gas station here. We've been past this place before. I can take you if you want." Ashton offers. He's already standing and peeking into his wallet to see how much cash he has on him.
"Sure." I smile politely, but if he slows me down I will not hesitate to throw him in front of oncoming traffic.
"Bring me back something, Tess." Calum winks again as Ashton and I head for the bus door. Earl must be inside the gas station since he's not in here.
"Go fuck yourself again Calum." I call over my shoulder as I step off the bus, following after Ashton.
We walk into the little diner area and I look through the cabinets, searching for what I'm craving. Sighing, I realise there isn't any here and it's been a complete waste of time. I could be playing Destiny with Michael right now, but nooooo I had to get hungry in the middle of our game.
"Hey kids, you gettin' anything?" Earl suddenly appears out of nowhere.
"Just looking for something actually." I mutter. Ashton walks up to the register and orders something too quiet for me to hear, even though I'm like two meters away from him.
"Don't take too long; we're on a schedule here." Earl says before disappearing just as fast as he appeared seconds ago. He's truly a ninja.
"Fuck it, I'll just get gas station food." I sigh, giving up on my search for the sacred choc vanilla swirl cheesecake. I don't even bother waiting for Ashton, heading over to the convenience part of the gas station. I start to wander in and out of the aisles aimlessly.
"So how's your memory going?" Ashton finds me in an aisle of sunglasses and picks up a pair.
"Good actually. Haven't forgotten anything since you brought me back to the bus the other day." I tell him, strolling slowly towards the next section.
"Really? You sure you haven't just forgotten that you forgot?" He asks incredulously. I roll my eyes.
"Yes I'm sure. You can even ask Michael. He's been with me pretty much the whole time." I point out. He hesitates, then clears his throat in an awkward manner before speaking again.
