Everyone's asleep. Or at least, Luke, Ashton and Calum are. I haven't gone to check on Tess and Michael in the back, but I occasionally hear a soft thump or a burst of laughter. At least she's happy.
I can't sleep. I'm lying here in Michael's bunk, staring at the roof of this tiny little space. Since Michael has insomnia, he told the others I could use his bunk because he'll be staying up with Tess.
It smells amazing in here.
Two weeks ago, I'd have said you were crazy if you told me who I'd be hitching a ride with for the next month. I can't believe it. Actually, I haven't really had time to think about it properly with everything that's happened. It's all gone by so quickly. I mean, sure it's only been a week and a half with the boys, but there's more to come and I honestly thought I'd be a tad more excited about all this.
I grab my phone and untangle my headphones, then put them in and blast any song the boys have ever sung.
Usually I listen to a whole heap of foetus Calum stuff, but tonight it doesn't feel the same. As soon as a Luke cover comes on though, I get that fangirl feeling in my chest and a smile tugs at my lips.
Wait, what? I'm not a Luke girl. Calum is my favourite. I love the bass. I love Calum's voice. I love that adorable, flirty Asian.
Oh shit.
Two weeks ago I would never have called him Asian.
What is happening to me?!
I quickly play a solo Calum playlist and take a few deep breaths. His voice fills my ears. Oh it's so nice to hear.
Only nice? It used to be amazing. It used to make me melt into a puddle of feels.
I start to panic, unlocking my phone and going to my pictures. I flick through all of my Calum photos, but they aren't as thrilling anymore. His smiles aren't so heart-warming. He doesn't look so cuddly.
I can't help thinking of Luke's hugs now. Wait a second...
Oh no. I know what's happening.
I'M TURNING INTO A LUKE GIRL.
