Chapter 15

Achilles:

I couldn't sleep at all last night, a lot has been going on in my mind, mainly about Helen. Ever since I confessed that I was in love with her, things have been different. I can barely sleep because she's always in my mind, I know that in order to clam things down I needed to tell her how I felt, but I just didn't know when I should do it. I decided to put the thought away as I made my way down the hallway, only to be stopped bu Glinda.

"Hey Achilles" she said "I need to ask you something."

"Okay what is it?"

"Have you noticed that Helen's been acting different lately?"

"Different? What do you mean?"

"I mean today when I tried to talk to her, she seemed really quiet and she was avoiding eye contact."

What the? Why would Helen do that? She usually enjoys talking with Glinda.

"Well that's odd" I said with confusion.

"Did something happen last night when you were hanging out with her?"

"Well nothing really happened, but I did notice that she was very quiet when we were having dinner with her dad and his girlfriend."

"Oh yeah I heard she doesn't like her dad's girlfriend."

"She doesn't. But overall nothing else happened."

"Well I don't know what's going on with her."

"Maybe it's nothing, although I will talk to her during lunch."

"Okay then, I just want to make sure everything's fine with her."

"I'm sure it is" I gave a small smile before heading off.

I don't know what's going on with Helen, whatever it is, I'm going to find out.

Helen:

As I took my books out of my locker, I looked into my locker mirror and saw black smudges under my eyes. I couldn't sleep last night, a lot has been on my mind, mainly about Achilles. Everything has been different since I realized that I was in love with him, but I don't want things to be different between us. I know that soon I had to tell him how I felt, but I just need a good time to do so.

"Hey Helen" I turned around to see him.

"Oh hey" I smiled as I felt my heart skip.

"So uh, Glinda told me that you kinda ignored her when she was talking to you today, why's that?"

Glinda told him? Oh come on.

"Oh uh-" I said "I was just not in the mood to talk, I was tired cause I couldn't sleep last night."

"Really? How come?"

"A lots been on my mind, and it's been keeping me awake."

"What's on your mind?"

I wanted to tell him so bad, but something held me back.

"Oh just, school and stuff" I lied "And Hera and her crew, the usual."

"Um, okay then."

He didn't sound very convinced, I really hoped he wont ask anything else.

"Well if there's something going on don't be afraid to tell me okay?" he added.

"I know" I said with a small smile.
