Helen:
"Helen come on!" I heard my friend Ismene yell from downstairs.
"I'm almost done!" I called back as I slipped on a floral sundress and paired it with a jean jacket.
After adjusting my dark hair a bit, I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs to see Ismene waiting by the door.
"You ready?" she asked.
"Yeah" I said with a small smile as I turned to the kitchen "Bye dad!"
"Bye!" my dad called as we headed out and got into Ismene's car.
As she started her car, I turned on the radio as the song 'Cool Kids' played by Echosmith. I gazed through the window at the passing houses as I listened to the lyrics. Every time I hear this song, I reminds me of my life, cause the lyrics are so true about me. I really do wish I could be like the cool kids at my school, but I know I'll never be one, cause at my school every sees me as a loser and an easy target.
Ever since elementary school, I was an easy target for bullies, mainly because I was the shy outcast and didn't have anyone to talk to. Then came middle school, and then high school, and nothing has changed. And no matter how many times Ismene tries to comfort me, the bullying kept happening and I never felt better.
But during my Freshman year, I met this guy Achilles, he was new and I discovered that we have some things in common. We bonded over the fact that we were and still are getting bullied, and not only do I have a new friend, but I became a friend to a lonely new guy who needed someone in his life, and I gotta say, I'm glad I met him.
Achilles is also the only reason I don't mind going to school cause I see him everyday, but the main reason I hate going to school is because of the people. When I was younger, my parents did everything they could to help me deal with the bullying, but when I got into middle school and my mom passed away, I never told my dad that the bullying was still happening. Because ever since I lost my mom, I just feel worst, I can't even talk about serious stuff to my own dad.
And besides, he has a new girlfriend now, who I really don't like. I mean she's nice and all, but she's not like my mom. My dad is always with her, it's like he barely has any time for me. Why does my life have to be like this? Why me? It's Senior Year for us, and things still haven't changed. I remember when I was in the 7th grade that I would make my Senior year the best school year ever, and I hope I could make that happen, but with all this problems I'm facing right now, I don't even know anymore.

Achilles:
Once I make it to school, I parked my car in the student parking lot as I grabbed my backpack and got out. I then turned to my school, I watched as everyone was either hanging outside, waiting for the bell to ring, or they were heading inside to get to their classes early. I usually wait outside for Helen so we can hang a bit while waiting for the bell to ring.
But just as I was heading to the front, I didn't notice this blue convertible pulling up next to me. I quickly stopped to allow the car to pass by, but that was when I realized who was driving. I didn't have time to move out of the way when the driver purposely splashed his iced coffee onto my jeans as he and his buds started to laugh.
"Oh I'm sorry" he said with a sarcastic smile "I didn't see you there. But at least you don't have to use the toilet now."
I looked down and saw that the iced coffee had splashed onto the upper part of the jeans, so now it looked like I wet my pants.
"And speaking of toilet" he added "I'll see you in the bathroom after lunch."
And with that he drove off. That jerk right there was Randy Michelson, the star football player, the great white shark of school, and the biggest bully. He's been picking on me since I my Freshman year, everyone fears him, they even fear his friends. No one wanted to mess with them, but they sure did have fun messing with everyone else.
And thanks to you Randy, I now looked like I just pissed my pants.
"Yikes" I turned and was surprised to see Helen who was looking at he stain "Way to start off your morning."
"It's not pee" I assured as I tried to play it cool.
"What happened?"
"Randy happened" I frowned.
"Of course" she sighed.
"I guess I'm gonna have to wear my gym shorts today" I sighed back "Again."
"Yeah okay" she said with a small smile as she continued to look at the stain.
"Would you stop looking at it?" I demanded as she gave a snicker.
"Sorry" she smiled.
She had a beautiful smile, ever since she got her braces taken off Sophomore year, she was more beautiful than ever. But to me, she's always been beautiful, even when she had her braces and thick glasses before she got contacts and her braces taken off. She also had really gorgeous peridot green eyes that went well with her dark brown hair that was draping over her shoulders. But my thoughts suddenly came to a stop when the bell suddenly rang.
"Oh" Helen said "We should probably get to class now."
"Yeah" I agreed with a small smile.
As we headed to the doors, I can tell we were both thinking the same thing: "Another day in hell for the both of us."
