Achilles:
I don't understand why Helen wasn't answering my calls and replying to my texts, was she busy today? Maybe it's not important, I mean even though Hera tried to seduce me, I was still planning on asking Helen out. So I decided that after I get gas for my car, I would go to her house and ask her out.
As I pumping gas for my car, my heart began to pound. Man I was so nervous, I've never asked out a girl before. What if I stutter? What if she says no? All of these thoughts were running through my head. But Glinda told me that I should just be myself, so that's what I'm gonna do.
"Well look who it is?" a familiar voice said as I turned around to see Randy.
"What do you want?" I whined.
"Oh just wanting to see if you've asked out Helen yet?"
"What?"
"Oh so you're not going to ask her to Prom?"
"Why do you care?"
"I don't, mainly because she's going to the dance with someone else."
"She's not going with you" I frowned.
"Oh she is actually" he smirked "This time she said yes."
At that point it caught my attention.
"Wait what?" I said.
"Yeah that's right" he smirked "When I asked her the second time, she said yes. If you don't believe me, ask her."
Was he telling the truth? I didn't want to believe him.
"There is no way she said yes to you" I said "You're probably just making this up."
"I'm not, again if you don't believe, ask her yourself."
And with that he walked away. Oh man, if he told me to ask Helen, maybe he is telling the truth. Something's not right, why the hell would Helen agree to go to Prom with Randy. I needed to ask her, so I got into my car and drove to her house where her dad let me in. I made my way upstairs to her room and knocked on her door.
"Helen" I called "We need to talk."
There was no answer.
"Helen" I called again as I knocked.
Still no answer. So I decided to open the door to see her on her bed with her arms crossed and a mad look on her face as she stared at me.
"Uh, are you okay?" I asked with a wondering look.
"Oh I'm fine" she said with sarcasm "I'm just excited to go to Prom with Randy."
"What?" I gasped as I closed the door "So you actually said yes to him?"
"I can see Randy told you."
"Helen why the hell would you say yes to that asshole?!"
"Because unlike you" she scowled as she sat up "I don't kiss people you hate behind your back."
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh you know what I'm talking about" she frowned as she pulled out her phone and held the screen towards me "Care to explain this?"
On her phone was a picture of Hera kissing me in the parking lot. I couldn't believe me, one of Hera's friends must of taken the picture at the right moment and sent it to Helen.
"As a matter of fact I can" I told her.
"Oh great, so you can tell me how you decided to kiss the biggest bitch in school behind my back?" she argued.
"It wasn't like that."
"Well it sure as hell looks like that. At least now we're even."
"Wait a minute" I gasped "Is that why you said yes to Randy? Because I kissed Hera?"
"Oh so you admit to kissing Hera?"
"I told you it's not like that!"
"I can't believe you! I thought you hated that bitch!"
"I do hate that bitch!"
"Doesn't seem like it since you kissed her behind my back!"
"How many times do I have to tell you it's not like that?!"
"Tell that to the picture!"
I couldn't believe it, I've never seen Helen like this. How could she not believe me?
"God you're acting like such a drama queen" I complained.
"Well that's what you get for stabbing my back!" she yelled.
"And you decide to do the same thing by stabbing my back?!"
"It hurts huh?! Well that's how I felt when I realized what an ass you are!"
"Oh I'm an ass?" I argued as I felt my anger rise "Well at least I'm not going to Prom with an even bigger asshole! He's just going to take advantages of you and you're going to regret saying yes to him!"
"Like I care!"
"Okay fine! Go ahead and go to Prom with him! And if you really want you can date him! Cause I don't care what happens to you!"
"And I don't care what happens to you!"
"I can't believe I was friends with you" she scowled.
"Well I can't believe I was friends with you" I scowled back as I opened the door and walked out and slammed the door.
But before I could go, I suddenly heard a loud thud as Helen gave a loud gasp. I quickly opened the door and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her violin that was on her dresser was now on the floor with the top piece broken off. Oh My God, the vibration of the door slamming must of caused the violin to fall off. And Helen was knelling over the broken instrument with shock on her face.
"Helen" I said with guilt "I didn't mean to-".
"Just go" she ordered as her eyes began to water.
"But-".
"Just go!"
I felt my guilt rise and my heart breaking. I didn't want to start more drama, so I did what she told me to and went away. I left her house and got into my car and drove off. I never expected any of this to happen, I mean I still feel angry at Helen, but now I'm feeling guilt. My heart is hurting like crazy, I've never a fight like this with her.
I gripped the steering wheel hard as my knuckles turned white and my eyes began to water. I was in so much pain right now I didn't know what to do. But what I do know was that I wanted to crawl in my bed and stay there forever, because I just lost my best friend, and I never got a chance to tell her how I felt.
