It was a long time after dawn, Arthur should have been awake for an hour or so now. He was fast asleep, and Merlin hasn't been in yet. Soon Arthur wakes on his own and looks around.
"Merlin?" Silence. "MERLIN BREAKFAST!" Merlin comes bursting through the doors with his tray of food.
"Sorry sire, here is breakfast" Merlin apologized and quickly got the food to the prince.
"Where on earth have you been? I should be out to training now."
"I'm sorry si-"
"Long night at the tavern was it?" Arthur interrupted Merlin with a stern tone.
"I was gathering herbs for Gaius," Merlin quivered as he explained, "I won't be so late again, sorry sire."
"Well you can start on your chores as long as you're here, then. Start by scrubbing the floors." Arthur ordered.
"But sire, it's the morning shouldn't I do that in the after-"
"Merlin" Arthur said in a tone that made Merlin shudder and quickly run off to get the rag and bucket. Merlin began scrubbing the floor as Arthur ate breakfast. Merlin goes to get up in order to refill the prince's water not realizing where the bucket of water was set. He kicks it over with his knee, spilling water everywhere, including the edge of Arthur's bedding. Looking at him in disgust, Arthur says,
"You don't know how to do anything, do you Merlin?" Merlin quivered as the strong shirtless male climbed out of bed.
"Would you like me to show you how to use a rag and bucket?"
"No, i-it's ok sire."
"Here," Arthur grabbed the rag out of Merlin's hand and grabs him by the waist to stand up. He takes the rag and squeezes all of the soapy water onto his servant's head. Merlin, letting anger get the best of him, picked the bucket off the floor and put it on Arthur's head, the remaining water trickling down his chest. Painfully slow, Arthur removed the bucket from his head, revealing a very angry scowl. Realizing what he had truly just done, Merlin turned away and began to run.
"MERLIN!!" Arthur belted as he took off after him. Merlin made his way around The prince's chambers, flipping over chairs and candle stands in effort to throw Arthur off. He rounded the table, with Arthur directly on his heels. Arthur tackled him at his waist, and they landed on the floor with a thump. Merlin flipped over on his back trying to scoot away from Arthur,
"I'm sorry sire, please, I'm sorry!" Arthur quickly stopped Merlin from getting away. Merlin was under the weight of the prince now, their hips joined in warmth. Arthur's hands were on either side of Merlin's head, making sure he couldn't go anywhere.
"Sir-"
"Merlin."
"Yes?"
"Why do you like this so much?" Merlin realized he was erect against Arthur's hip. His face immediately flushed red, and he looked away from Arthur's gaze. Arthur smirked, and stood up, lending a hand to Merlin.
"I expect my armor to be polished, and the stables to be cleaned all by noon." Arthur demanded, as if nothing had just happened. The gorgeous prince exited his chambers while throwing on a shirt. Once gone, Merlin let out a huge sigh and set off to start working again. If you liked this, please vote and comment! If you have any suggestions, I will gladly take them. Thanks for reading!! And yes I am aware that in the episode, the bucket is put over Merlin's head, but I wanted to see how it looked the other way around:)
