The sound of a shower running woke me up, I looked to my left to see the bed was empty.

Jack must be in the shower.

We had all decided to stay in New York for one more to celebrate, it was all still so surreal. I always found myself staring down at the ring with shock.

"Morning," Jack greeted as he walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist.

I tried not to let my eyes wander, but he seemed to catch me as he sent a wink. A blush crept to my cheeks immediately as I buried my face in the pillow. When I lifted my head Jack was pulling on his black jeans, I reached across to the night stand to grab my phone.

There was a text from Zoe congratulating Jack and I, it felt strange to think that Zoe and I were both engaged at the same time. In fact Zoe's wedding was fast approaching, the venue was booked, the flowers, invitations and everything had been sent out. All that was left was the actual ceremony to come.

"Why don't we hit the ice rink before meeting with everyone else?" Jack asked, I nodded quickly really excited.

"Yes, I'd love that." I replied with a smile.

I grabbed a pair of denim jeans, a white, wooly jumper and my winter coat. I put my beanie on my head to complete the look, I twirled in front of Jack.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Jack pointed at my feet, I stuck my tongue out at him and grabbed my grey ugg boots.

"Let's go." I said taking Jack's hand in mine.

The walk to the ice rink was nice as we passed through the park, I nearly slipped on the ice but luckily Jack steadied me. We crossed the bridge and the violet lights came into view as people skated across the lake.

We joined the queue of people waiting to get onto the rink. I was tapping my foot because it was so cold. After Jack paid and we changed into our skates, I held onto Jack's hand tightly as we stepped onto the ice.

"Oh my god this is so slippy." I squealed as Jack pulled me further away from the barrier.

"That's the point," Jack shot back, we tried our best but I think we were failing miserably.

Even the little kids were zooming past us, I laughed as Jack stumbled.

"Is this what it's like wearing heels?" Jack questioned and I burst out laughing.

Jack fell taking me down with him, I shrieked before landing on Jack. We both laughed before a steward came to help us get up.

Jack made the steward take a picture of us where he pressed his face against mine and I tilted my head back with laughter and he pressed his lips to my cheek. The steward skated off with a huff after giving Jack his phone.

"Aww look how cute we are." Jack teased.

I groaned and pulled him with me back to get our shoes, Ella had already text telling me that we'd all meet in at six. It was currently four, I had a lot of getting ready to do.
We grabbed a cab and managed to reach the hotel in fifteen minutes, once we entered the room I started pulling out makeup and clothes trying to decide what to wear.

"Hey relax, whatever you wear it'll be perfect, you look beautiful without makeup too." Jack said wrapping his arms around my stomach from behind.

"Thank you." I whispered, I turned to face him.

"For what?" Jack asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"For being so great, kind and just you." I told him.

"I'm the one who should be telling you that, you're the best thing that happened to me and I never want to lose you again." Jack promised, he leaned down to kiss me softly and I smiled.

I finally found a white dress and decided to throw it on, I applied some red lipstick as well and we were ready to go.

We arrived at the restaurant to find everyone already there, I sat beside Ella and Jack sat beside me and Caspar.

"I love your dress." Ella complimented, I thanked her and said the same about her dress.

The dinner went smoothly, we all joked around while Ella told me about her holiday with Caspar. She told me how Caspar got all nervous and how it was really cute.

"Hey Jess, mum said congrats by the way." Joe said from across the table.

"Wait, she knew about it?" I questioned, I hadn't told her or dad yet.

"Eh, yeah I kinda went to both your mum and dad about it," Jack revealed.

"Oh okay, how did that go?" I asked.

"It was interesting.." Jack trailed off.

After dinner Caspar was dead set on going to a karaoke club so we all agreed, it was packed as expected. The flashing neon lights were blinding so I made my way to a booth straight away along with Ella, Josh and Joe while Mikey, Oli, Caspar and Jack went to get drinks.

Conor headed to the bathroom while the music blasted, after a few drinks I was a bit tipsy and Jack and I were on the dance floor.

Sexual by Neiked was playing and Jack and I were dancing while he videoed for his snapchat.

We stumbled through the door of the hotel room, I was laughing hysterically while Jack urged me to be quiet not wanting to wake the other people on the floor.

"But Mikey's face when he took a drink off the tray and the sounds he made." I rushed out, I couldn't stop laughing.

"Well that's Mikey for you," Jack replied seeming amused by my laughter.

"I'm tired." I poured bringing my laughter to a halt.

"Then we better get to sleep, we have early morning tomorrow." Jack warned, he helped me change into one of shirts and I grabbed a pair of shorts from my bag.

We both got into bed, he wrapped his arm around my waist and I turned to face him resting my face in the crook of his neck.

"I love you." I mumbled into his neck.

"I love you too, sweet dreams." He whispered while pressing a kiss to my forehead.

Everything felt as if it were falling into place again and I couldn't be happier.
