XXXVIII

New York was beautiful, it was snowing so I was layered up with a wooly hat and a coat. Conor had a concert tonight, I promised him I would go but only if Jack wasn't there.

I turned down a street full of stalls, there were people selling hats, gloves, scarves and even some sweets. I hugged my grey trench coat closer as I strolled down the street with snow sprinkling down on me. I had just gotten lunch when Conor texted me that I could meet him at the venue.

I took a cab to the arena he was singing at and admired the huge skyscrapers passing by, the arena was massive and I was led in through the back by a man in a black suit. I noticed all the corridors going left, right, forwards and backwards. I followed the tall man down a corridor and some stairs before we stopped outside a door.

I opened the door and there was nobody in the room, I looked towards the security man in confusion but he was already walking away. I turned back to the room and Conor was staring at me, I jumped and placed my hand on my heart.

"God Conor, don't jump out of nowhere," I scolded while trying to catch my breath.

"I was only messing around," he held a vlogging camera in his hand.

I waved at the camera and made a silly face, he turned it off after that saying he had to relax before the concert. Joe, Oli, Josh, Mikey and even Caspar and Ella had arrived.

"Ella!" I squealed as I ran towards her, I hugged her tightly as we giggled.

"I heard what happened, I'm going to kill that idiot." she seethed.

"Can we not talk about that right now?" I asked, she nodded and I turned to Caspar.

"Hey Casp," I said, I hugged him tightly too and he made one of his goofy jokes to cheer me up.

We had laughed and joked around while I caught up with Ella and Caspar, Ella had gotten a lovely tan.

"Jess, I almost forgot I got you something." Ella dug through her bag, she picked out a bronze charm bracelet and handed it to me.

"Oh my god Ella! I love it, thank you." I thanked her and hugged her.

Conor went to do a bit of rehearsal while we waited back stage, the arena started to fill up at about eight. We all waited by the stage with Conor as he was going to go on, the fans were screaming and the opening act had just finished.

"And now introducing the one and only Conor Maynard!" The opening act announced and Conor bounded out onto the stage while jumping up and down.

We all cheered and screamed as Conor began signing, I listened to the words of his songs. The meaning held behind them was something I didn't understand because they were his personal experiences. His fans were going crazy jumping up and down, I could tell Conor was enjoying himself because he was smiling the brightest I'd ever seen him.

After singing four songs, Conor got the crowd to still to silence. I was really confused along with everyone else. Why was he stopping the concert?

"Excuse ladies and gentlemen, but this is a very special announcement. See my brother Jack has messed up a lot lately and he begged me to let him do this because he really wants to make it up to someone special. So everyone Jack Maynard!" Conor announced, my breath caught in my throat as I looked to the other side of the stage.

Jack stood there staring straight back at me and I was frozen to the spot, but reality kicked in and turned around to leave. Ella and Caspar blocked my path while Joe nodded his head in the direction of the stage.

I reluctantly turned back to the stage to see Jack had walked and was currently facing a crowd of over a hundred thousand people.

"Hi I'm Conor's brother Jack." He began, I almost smiled at his awkwardness.

"I haven't really been the best person I could've been lately and I'm here because I really messed up with someone I care about immensely."

"She's here tonight and I know she hates me right now so I'm going to apologise, I'm going to apologise for all the stupid fights we've had. All the mistake I've made and most importantly driving you away because only god knows you were the best thing that ever happened to me."

I couldn't breath, this was all too overwhelming.

"So Jessica Louisa Sugg, will you do me the honour of being my wife?" Jack finished and I watched lean down on one knee and pull a box from his pocket.

I stared wide eyed and my hands shook violently by my side.

"What are you waiting for, go get him girl." Ella encouraged as she nudged my back.

I took a deep breath before walking out on stage, the crowd erupted in cheers and I couldn't help the smile that broke out on my face. I nodded my head yes rapidly and Jack stood up.

I held my hand out and he gently placed the ring on my finger, I practically lunged onto him as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Jack laughed, his hands found my waist and he spun me around. His hands cupped my cheeks and he pressed his lips to mine in a slow kiss, I smiled pulling him closer.

"Alright love birds, let's get this show back on the road New York!" Conor cut in and Jack took my hand leading me off stage.

Ella squealed demanding I showed the ring, it was beautiful. A small diamond which spiralled into a rose.

"Oh my god! This is so exciting!" Ella shouted jumping up and down.

"I know!" I squealed in return, I turned to Jack to see him watching me amusingly.

Joe placed a hand on his shoulder and they were soon having a deep discussion, I couldn't stop staring at the ring it was so beautiful.

"You like it?" Jack whispered in my ear, his hands came to rest on my waist.

"I love it." I snuggled back further into him.

I turned and punched his chest and he looked at me with worry.

"I can't believe you made me go out there in front of all of those people," I pointed out.

He chuckled leaning down to kiss me softly, he pulled away our foreheads resting against one another.

"It was worth it right?" He asked.

"Definitely." I replied before placing my lips on his once again.

"Alright Maynard we got it, you're engaged but she's still my sister." Joe butted in and I giggled.

I'm soooooooooooooooo incredibly SORRY! I know I haven't updated in what felt like years but I just never got around to doing it and I didn't really know what to write.

But I am back! Yay!

Anyway to let you all know this is not near the end just because some of you thought that, but don't worry I still have a few ideas left for this story!

I just really want to emphasis this point! Please DO NOT comment about spelling mistakes or grammar because honestly it is really annoying and I will say once again I DO NOT EDIT.
