Chapter 16 - Kaoru & Butch

Kaoru's POV

As soon as we went our seperate ways, me and Butch decided to go to the skatepark because we felt like skating and plus it's the only thing we could do since the others are probably going shopping or eating.

When we reach the skatepark, i started to do some tricks and flips on my skateboard. I tried to challenge Butch to do some flips on his skateboard, and it was kinda impressive. After skating, doing flips and tricks, i decided to take a break and chill at one of the benches.

Butch went to the vending machine and bought us some coke. He gave me one and sit beside me. I open the coke and took a big gulp since i was thristy. It was starting to get awkward since we were staring into space. So i tried to strike up a convo with him.

"So, Butch have you ever hangout with a girl before?"

"Alot, most girls just went to me for looks but i had one eye for a girl before i met you." Butch said, slurping his coke.

"Who is this girl you met?" I asked

"*chuckled* Her name is Erica. I met her at a Coffee house. I always went there to buy coffee and i saw her."

"How did you guys become 'a thing' ?" I question.

"I saw her and decided to buy for her a cup of coffee, and we started to be friends from there. We decide to exchange numbers and chat frequently if we had free time. Also, try to meet up at usual spots. That's when i realise i fell in love with her. I never felt anything like that before. I don't know anything about love since i was a tough  person."

"Then what happened?" I ask.

"I asked my brothers whether i should ask her out on a date and they told me that i should. So one day, i decided to bring her out and confess to her about my feelings. She was quite surprised and she said that she feels the same way about me too. So we decided to be in a relationship on that day. I always try my best to romantic and supportive in the relationship. Giving her favourite flowers, buying her stuff, bringing her to certain places, treating her food. Everything that a girl just wished her boyfriend will do. Try to be lovable and affectionate."

"But ?" I said.

"After 7 months being together, she just started to show less interest in me and she rarely text me back or meeting me for date. I just thought that she was busy with school since she's preparing for her major exams but one day when i was on my way home after hanging out, Erica's friend, Claire texted me, asking me to come to the coffee house if i was available. I told her i would be there in a few minutes since Claire said it urgent."

"Urgent?" I questioned myself.

"Once i got there, i went towards Claire. She told me that Erica didn't want to see me anymore since she couldn't bare with me being ditched and all by her. I wanted to ask her why but Claire told me to stop seeing her. Since that's what Erica wanted, that i will just have to deal with it and accept her request."

"Woah, wait!! Hold up boy!! How can she just leave you like that without meeting you face to face?!" I shouted.

"I don't know Kaoru, but a few days after that, i saw Erica was with another guy. Holding hands and laughing with that guy. It hurts to see her doing that. I ask Claire if the real reason was that Erica wanted to leave me for another guy. And Claire said that it was true. Claire only lied to not hurt my feelings but she also told me that Erica just used me just because i'm always treating and buying her stuff. Once she got what she wanted, she left."
