Mark's POV

"So you two are going on a date?"

"It's not a date," I said for the umpteenth time to Wade, smiling. "Its just one movie that we happen to be seeing together. And besides," I glared in the mirror and raked my hand through the red in my hair. "We've seen movies together, Wade; does that mean we're dating?"

"Well, you ignored me in that one video, so if that's not boyfriend like, then I don't know what is."

"Ha!" I laughed way to loudly. I checked my watch and blew out air. "Oooh, ouch. Well, I gotta go Wade; swood gentlemen such as myself don't make ladies wait." I laughed again. I heard Wade's laugh through the receiver. "Alright man. Go get laid." He laughed one more time before the phone clicked.

"Now where is she..?"

         My eyes wandered around the mall, lingering in one place and then another. And then, they found something they didn't want to see.

My merchandise.

         The girl looked no older than 15, but even then, half of her butt hung out of her shorts and anyone could tell that the shirt was waaaay too tight. That poor squirrel could not be king stretched like that. I pulled my baseball cap lower on my forehead and tried to look away.
"That's so totally him!"
"Yeah...it is, isn't it?!"
              "Oh nuggets," I mumbled under my breath, pasting on a smile as the group of girls walked over. Oh geez, where was Helen? "Howdy," I smiled. "Can I help you girls?"
              "Oh he's even cuter in person!" one of the girls swooned. "Totally," said Stretchy Squirrel girl, licking her lips. I held my breath so I wouldn't cringe; it seems that the cringe had been lifting weights, because it was strong as a muthaf****. Where is Helen?! My brain yelled frantically. I had to get out of here.

"Mark? Is that you?"

        I turned; a pair of chocolate eyes stared back at me through a curtain of black, wavy hair. "Hey, I was just looking for you!" the girl smiled. She looked a lot older than the girls I was faced with; she was probably about my age. "Um..." I stuttered.
           "What?" the girl said, then turning her attention to the group of girls. "Oh, are these fans? Sorry girls," she smiled sweetly, wrapping an arm around my elbow. "I'm gonna have to steal him away. Thanks for understanding." She waved goodbye, pulling me towards a clothing store. Looking back, I wish I could have closed the girls' mouths; they'd dropped to the floor.
          I tired to focus on the girl. "Uh, thanks but," I shrugged away from her hold once we were well away from the group of girls. "I really gotta get back; I'm meeting a friend."

"Oh, come on. I do NOT look that different."

         I felt my eyebrow arch, then a smile tugged at the corners of my mouth; I thought I recognized that voice. "You're hair...its so..."
           "Bland?" Helen rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm aware. It's really scary, but this was my natural color before I started YouTube. So," she looked towards the movie theater. "what movie are we seeing?"

~~~~~Time Lapse~~~~~
Helen's POV
"Tonight was pretty cool--no pun intended, of course."
         Mark laughed and shoved his hands deeper into his pocket to shield them from the late night air. "Yeah, and the movie was cool too; I didn't know you were into Harry Potter stuff." he said with a smile.
           "I'm not," I smiled back. The air was crisp, and it was a cool night. After the movie, we'd agreed to take a walk in the park and get a snack, and then we'd be homebound. "I just wanted to see the movie."
"Ah."
          I looked up at him as the last of the sunlight faded and the glow of the moon softened his features. "I enjoyed watching it with you though!" I laughed as I walked backwards in front of him. A look of confusion passed his face before he gave me a soft smile. "I enjoyed watching it with you too." He said, barely audible.
          We rounded a corner of the park and faced a convenience store right in front of us. Our destination.
But a Game Stop was right next to it.
         I looked at Mark. Mark looked at me. We looked at each other. I smiled, "I grab some snacks, you grab a game?"
"Don't forget the candy."
         We raced into the separate stores, and I grabbed anything that I thought I could grab--juice, candy, chips, you name it. I reconsidered my life choices when I pulled out the $50 bill to pay for it all, but was soon filled with joy when I saw Mark outside with two bags ready to burst. 'Come on!' I saw him mouth, and I rushed out with the snacks, smiling. "I know you said just a movie, but I like games." I laughed.
He jumped from one foot to another, throwing me a giddy smile. "My place or yours?"
