Chapter 9

"Is this your first year too?"

"Huh? Oh uh yeah, it's my first year." Ray said, looking at the girl. By the looks of it she looked nervous.

She gave her a small but warm smile. "You nervous? Don't worry, i'm sure you'll do just fine." She tried to reassure her. But the truth was that Ray was just as nervous as her, she just tried her best not to show it which was working pretty good so far.

"Gosh is it really that noticeable?", the girl said, while wiping her sweaty palms on her pants.

"Sorry. I just never actually though I could be here. Should've seen me when I found out I got accepted. My heart skipped a beat and I literally threw up my breakfeast.", a laugh came at the end of the sentence as well as her thinking, 'Oh my god kill me'

"Wow. Well, I can kinda relate. I couldn't believe I got accepted, but I didn't throw up." Ray said, with a little chuckle.

She was a bit surprised that this girl was actually talking to her, not that many people do since she's a Faunus. Most of the time she just gets looks from people because of what she is. The girl laughed a bit.

"Well then you're lucky. I was so shocked I couldn't eat anything unless I wanted to clean up the barf." As she kept talking to this girl her nerves slowly faded away and she got more comfortable. "You excited then?", she asked.

"Yeah. But to be honest i'm a little nervous, that's a bit why I could tell you were nervous too. I mean who wouldn't be nervous coming here?" Ray said. She started getting a little more comfortable talking to this girl.

"Ugh I know right? Just looking at this place makes me feel like I'm a tiny ant.", The girl said making a small gesture that is a tiny circle.

The line starts to move up more but that fact didn't bother her any more.

Ray chuckled a little. "I agree. But this school is so amazing. I couldn't believe it when I walked off the air ship." She saw that there were only a few people left in line, not including her and the girl she was talking to.

"If I'm being honest, I was almost stumbling my way off the ship. My legs were so nerves they couldn't function properly." The girl said chuckling while trying to act out how she was walking earlier.

Ray laughed while the girl tried to act out how she was walking earlier. She managed to stop laughing and kept a small smile on her face.

"By the way, i'm Ray." She said.

"Nice to meet you Ray. I'm Sky.", she said. Sky turned around and noticed she was next in line. "Oh boy.", she whispered to herself and took a deep breath.

She turned back to Ray and said, "I hope I see you around." Then she went over to the table where the next chapter of her life will begin.
