I reached for the cold cup of coffee sitting beside the laptop. I had been at it for hours, and I was running on fumes. "Hey Kid, you have a visitor," Morgan called. I looked behind me surprised at the addition to the room. There were a few bunks towards the far wall, a little kitchenette and a wall lined with large surveillance monitors, there were even several more workers than when we first got there.

I looked back towards the door, my eyes landing on the beautiful brunette standing just inside the doorway. I got up  and made my way towards her. Jackie graced me with a smile that sent my heart right back to where it was when we were in Sicily. "Hi," I smiled while I tried to straighten up my disheveled look. "Is everything good at the hospital?" I asked even though I knew she wouldn't be standing there if it wasn't.

"I brought you something to eat, but looks like you all have it covered," she nodded to the mess of food on the table nearby, "God you are all so messy." She chuckled.

"Hey, that wasn't me. I've been sitting there for hours." I pointed to the little desk in the corner. "Care to join me?"  I grabbed a chair on the way so we could both sit down together. "So what's in the bag?" I asked eagerly, already inhaling the fantastic smell seeping through the bag.

"It's just some burgers and fries from the diner." She replied as I rolled the comfy leather chair I was sitting on around the desk for her and replaced my seat with the folding chair I carried over. "How's everything going? Any word on Lacey?" Jackie asked handing me a burger.

"Ooo, is that from the diner?" Morgan walked up and snatched the burger I was about to bite into and say her teeth into it.

"Hey, that was mine," I grumbled reaching over the desk and making an attempted swipe at my lost sandwich. Morgan chuckled almost choking on the bite in her mouth.

"Don't worry babe, Lucky for you, I lived around this food thief long enough to know I needed to double up. " Jackie grinned and handed me another burger.

"Thanks, Babe..." I wiggled my eyebrows at Jackie who blushed after realizing what she said. I was happy, I knew that I was far from being forgiven but it was a start.

"So, um, any news on Lacey?" She turned to Morgan who was busy inhaling the juicy burger.

"Nothing yet, we've successfully set up eyes and ears on the people she's been traveling with," I was actually surprised Morgan was freely giving Jackie the information.  "The team in Chicago was able to follow her when she arrived but lost her somewhere in South Chicago near some railyard." Morgan mumbled as she chewed. "They are searching the area but nothing yet."

"Railyard?" I rubbed my greasy hands off on my jeans before looking through some of the files I found on Chicago. "Are you talking about the Central Manufacturing District in South Chicago?" I flipped the computer around so she could see.

Morgan stared at the screen for a moment, "Duke!" She yelled not taking her eyes off of whatever she was reading, "hand me the Chicago log." She held out her hand and continued to scan through the information on the screen. Duke handed her the folder. Placing the file next to the laptop. Morgan's eyes darted back and forth from one to the other. "Son of a bitch," she whispered picking up her phone.

'Sir, It's Morgan.'  I heard her say. 'I'm great, look I need a favor, your factory on Pershing, I need it evacuated up and locked down.'  She scribbled something down and handed it to Duke, 'I'll have a team there within the hour. No, it can't wait,  I wouldn't be asking if it wasn't a matter of life or death.'  I didn't know who she was talking to but the muffled voice coming through sounded panicked. 'Yes, I'll send you over the details.' She nodded like the caller could see her. 'Thank you, Mr. Lee.' She hung up.
