Luna's Point of View - Adonis Delta IV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After they had beamed down to the planet, Luna looked around in awe at the familiar fields where she and her brother had roamed as children. Not much had changed since they had been taken. Everything seemed smaller than it used to be...
She jerked her head to the sky when she heard a voice call her name, Spock looking around to see it's origin.
"Mummy. Daddy." Luna said, tearing up, "It's me... I'm home" The landing party were confused as they watched Luna and Spock react to something that they could not fathom. What was she talking to?
Luna tilted her head as if she was listening to something. Her mouth fell open in surprise and Spock raised an eyebrow in fascination. Both their heads turned to face a nearby cave entrance. Luna's face filled with recognition and a little pain as she remembered, all those years ago, of the horrible fate she had met.
Suddenly, two tall humanoid figures, a man and a woman with the same type of glow as Luna and Ray did, emerged from the cave and smiled at Luna. Luna smiled back and her glow grew the brightest anyone had ever seen as she ran over. She wrapped her arms around the figures in a tight embrace.
She pulled away as Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Chapel walked over.
"Mummy, Daddy, these are my new friends." She motioned to all four as she said their names. "This is Captain James Kirk, this is Commander Spock, this is Doctor McCoy and his assistant Nurse Christine Chapel." In turn they smiled, except for Spock who gave the Vulcan salute by putting up his right hand and separating his middle and ring finger.
"Guys this is my Mummy, Tiana, and my Daddy, Dimitri." Luna's smile widened. When Tiana spoke, her voice was cool and collected.
"It is an honour to meet those who have returned our daughter to us. However, we are curious. Whatever happened to your brother?" All smiles fell and Luna's chest tightened. She looked away as tears began to fill her eyes once again. She was about to open her mouth when Spock's voice rang through her mind, startling her parents.
I believe we should discuss this subject in private. It is only logical that we do not put Luna through any more emotional stress for a while. Tiana and Dimitri looked at each other then nodded to Spock, clearly confusing Kirk, McCoy and Chapel. This time Dimitri spoke with a warm, kind voice.
"If you three could be so kind as to watch over Luna for a while, Tiana and I have some rather pressing matters to discuss with Mr. Spock." Kirk stepped forward.
"Of course, we can use this time. Luna, I have something for you." Kirk held out his arm and Luna reached out and took it, blinking a few times to clear her eyes.  As Spock, Tiana and Dimitri walked off, Kirk called the Enterprise and had the four of them beam up. Before they walked off the transporter pad, Kirk stood in front of Luna with a cheeky grin on his face.
    "Now, the thing we have for you is a surprise, so we'll have to blindfold you." McCoy came up behind her and wrapped a piece of fabric gently over her eyes.Together, with Chapel following behind, the trio led Luna deeper into the ship.
