Rayne's pov
I was woke up by someone shaking me, I opened my eyes and saw Carl.
"What?" I grumbled, hating getting woken up.
"Walkers on the fence, lots of them, we need your help." He said and I jumped up, still in my p.j's and ran downstairs to grab my weapons.
I got outside and saw that a part of the fence had collapsed, and some walkers were getting inside the farm. I sprinted over, feeling the rocks stick to my feet, and started to shoot as many as I could. It felt like I had only shot five before I was out of arrows. I got my knife and started to stab them, grabbing arrows as I went, I saw Carl shooting some and then he was out of ammo.
"Hey." I said, throwing my knife in his direction, making sure to hit the ground.
He nodded and took the knife and I went back to dodging the walkers and gathering arrows, everyone else was fighting their own battles against walkers. Carl was stabbing them, Daryl was shooting with his crossbow, Rick was shooting with his pistol and even Lori and Andrea had pistols. Glenn and Maggie were taking the fence walkers out with blow pokers and Beth was standing on the porch, not knowing what to do, just watching us. Hershel had a shotgun and shot them from his front porch. I didn't have time to load my bow so I shoved the arrow through one's eye. My mom had just got out here with a meat cleaver and started at the fence.
I grabbed my arrow from the eye and saw a walker come up behind Carl, I aimed and shot, but missed by an inch. I sprinted over to Carl and pushed the walker, I grabbed the arrow from its shoulder and stabbed it through the head. I ripped my arrow back and saw more walkers pouring in by the second. I ran over and started to shoot, everyone else came over from their places, except Beth, and started killing them, and in five more suspenseful and blood spilling minutes, we had successfully killed all of them. Daryl crouched down and looked at the fence,
"This was never re-enforced, so they all pushed through and got in, who was on this section of the fence?" Daryl yelled, me and Carl had the back of the house, Rick and Daryl had the sides of the house and my mom had the front of the house, that means that Beth had that section of the fence. I looked at her and she had her head down.
Daryl looked at her and then shook his head, walking away. Everyone looked at Beth and she looked at everyone else, she then yelled,
"It's not my fault I don't know how to do this! It's not my fault I can't do everything like y'all can, I can't shoot, I can't stab and I can't even nail a board to the foundation. I was never taught how to do anything! So if you want something done, don't ask me." She said, I looked around at everyone and then I said,
"I can teach you to throw and shoot, if you want. We would need a bow and knife for you, but I think you would easily catch on." She looked up at me and said,
"Why would I want you to teach me? You stole what's mine." Is she really mad about the whole Carl situation? Mad enough to turn down life saving advice? Everyone looked around in disbelief that she was turning training down, from the second best bow shooter in the group, Daryl was the first best and there was no other bow shooters, so that means I am second by default.
"If you want to learn about shooting guns, Carl will teach you." I said volunteering Carl. He looked at me with an expression I couldn't quite read.
"Is it ok, to do both?" Beth finally asked,
"Yeah, but we start today, while they're repairing the fence, Carl and I will take turns." I said, smiling.
"Thanks." She said. I went and got some wooden targets. I set them up and waited for Beth to come back.
"Why'd you volunteer me?" Carl came up and grabbed my shoulder.
