Note: Okay honestly I HATE Roller Rinks with a passion but SOMEONE (arimichella) put it in. I can't skate myself so I'm just going off of what my sister looks like.
"Come on Jeffery!" I smile, gliding across the wood. "Christ Grace I'm still sore from laser tag!" Jeffery calls from behind me.
"Please! It was a fake gun Jeffery and if I remember correctly, you kept telling me to 'shoot the fat ones'" I laugh as he catches up to me. Taking my hand, we glide along the wood.
Taking my hand in his, we skate around the rink. After our sad defeat in laser tag, along with Zach finding out Alex is pregnant, things have gone a little wild.
Alex and Monica ate almost the entire snack bar even though we ate two hours ago.
Angelica clings to the wall as Zach tries to teach her how to skate.
"What took you so long anyways?" I ask as a Micheal Jackson songs fades off. The soft melody of The Beatles strums through the arena.
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all rightLittle darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clearHere comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
It's all right, it's all right
As the song finishes, I turn to Jeffery, who's cheeks show a shade of pink. Pulling us off the rink, we sit down in the small locker area.
"You're the best" I say, wrapping my arms around him. Sighing, Jeffery rests his head on my shoulder "I'm so happy we worked things out."
I pull away, looking down "We still have things to discuss about what happened, but that can wait until we get back."
"Thank god, the future us can deal with that" Jeffery mumbles, pressing a kiss to my cheek.
Laughing, I run my hands through his thick hair, which falls back into place perfectly.
-Jeffery's POV-
I could finally touch her face, inhale her sweet scent.
Don't even get me started on her laugh. I never want to go a day without hear her laugh, it's so light and pure.
Pulling her to me, I rest my chin on her head, encasing her with my body. I didn't care that hours before I was beyond pissed at her, we can and will deal with it later.
She sighs, nuzzling her head into my chest. "Jeffery...what if someone sees?" she mumbles.
Even with the group bringing out the best in Grace, she still worried for what the public thought of her. But she shouldn't. It might be cheesy but Grace is perfect. She's beautiful, funny and extremely kind.
"They can deal with it" I chuckle, making her groan.
"You really are Angelica's brother."
"I'm not suggesting we hook up in the bathroom" I say defensively, although the idea did seem promising.
"I know you're not" she mumbles, pulling away so she can look at my face. God, her eyes shinned in the light, leaving them bright and as blue as the sky.
"What you said in the restaurant, about waiting, we can. Don't be afraid to tell me how you feel." I say, making her smile.
Her smile.
"Thank you Jeffery" she mumbles, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. I had to tell her. That Jeffery wasn't my real name. She's already told me so much, she should know.
Taking her hands in mine, I take a breath. "Grace, there's something I want to tell you."
"What is it?" she questions, eyes wide.
Laughing voices fill the air, leaving me self conscious.
"Not here, can we catch a bus back to the hotel? I want to tell you in private" I admit, leaving her looking down.
"You go tell the others, and I'll call us an uber" she smiles, pulling away from my grasp to dial the number.
Taking a breath, I make my way to Angelica, where I tell her words I never thought I would ever say.
